as mondays' normally go, i've had quite a good one I think. Took the car to the tyre place this morning as needed 3 new tyres (£560 ouch!
This afternoon invited my pals round with their children who are all my DS's pals so had 6 ladies and 8 children running riot around the garden etc. Laughter outweighed tears 10 to 1 so all in all a good day.
Mucked up this evening though by going to cook chilli and then realising that I have no tinned tomatoes and no kidney beans!

wellsie · 06/09/2004 19:55

In between DS & his separation anxiety I have packed some boxes (we're moving) done 2 loads of washing, hoovered up, cleaned up sick, taken contracts to the solicitors and walked the dog, I am now on strike for the evening and DH is making DS bottles for tomorrow

Tomorrow is M&B group so should be a better day.

Got dd2 and ds1 off to schoolwith dh, lunches included (2 sep schools starting in 5 mins of each other). Got ds2 ready for first day back at nursery, with his lunchbox (first time staying for lunch). Went with dh this time to explain packing and unpacking of his wheelchair. Came home, fell asleep for a bit, woke up, collected ds2, took him and dd1 for lunch (her last day before she goes back to school at another site, will be chaos tomorrow), collected ds1 from school, and waited for dd2 to walk up from her school to the infant school (no roads to cross). Got home, unpacked schoolbags, did dd2's homework with her before she got ready for brownies. Helped ds1 look for his lost alien, while supervising ds2 on his sn potty, although too late for the wee on the sofa . Nagged dd1 into the shower while cooking dinner, after waving dh off for a couple of hours fishing. Oh and did hte kitchen as well. Just about to hang out laundry and bring in the dry stuff.

Had a great day today. DH had the day off, so we took the boys to school, then went off to my health club. We worked out together, had a swim, sauna, etc, then went for lunch together.
We had a quick look round the shops then back to pick up the kids.
Our treat after taking turns to look after them through the summer hols.

wellsie · 06/09/2004 20:12

jac34, thats sounds lovely - you lucky thing.

hovely · 06/09/2004 21:30

what a good thread.
woken at 5 am for DS's morning bottle, joined in bed by DD at 5.20, persuaded DH out of spare room to get DD back to sleep, next heard DD calling for help on toilet whilst DH asleep on her bedroom floor. All sorted out by 6am when DH took both downstairs and brought cup of tea up.
DH took DD to nursery. I did load of washing, put away stacks of clothes, made & froze purees for DS, went up & down stairs 200 times as DS not settling for nap, ate biscuits, watched 20 minutes of ER whilst bottle feeding, stared vacantly at broken light in hall trying to decide what to replace it with, changed 4 nappies and had interesting experience of catching DS's poo in a wipe as it appeared, went out with DS and did loads of errands and shopping, got cold shouldered by mum I have been trying to befriend, ate large bar of chocolate, cooked tea, wrestled first DS then DD into bath and bed, looked up recipes on internet.

jampot · 06/09/2004 21:39

Got up at 6.45, normal school morning duties, left house at 8.20 to drop dd at school for 8.35, back to Solihull to drop ds at school, quick chat at school gate, home, started working (!) made cuppa for bathroom fitter, carried on working, out to the bank to withdraw pile of cash for bathroom man, went to another bank to withdraw money for credit card, paid credit card at a third bank, back home then out to Solihull tc to WHS. Back home, on MN to check on factory closure advice, out to collect ds from school only to remember at the last minute he's at after school club, off to collect dd from school, back home, out again to collect ds from ASC back home, put tea on for kiddies, sister turned up, everybody eats, clear away, went to tip with a pile of crap from bathroom (not literally) - MN!!!! Kids to bed!!!!!

Tommy · 06/09/2004 21:56

Over 15,00 steps for a start! Also:
bought big boy pants for DS1
disposable pants for my friend who had a baby yesterday
watched DS1 do lots of poos and wees on the potty
went to 2 parks
sat in my friend's garden while 4 boys played
went to choir rehearsal
came on here

littlemel · 06/09/2004 22:00

bought the "mums on babies" book & some shoes to acommodate 40 week pregnant swollen feet!

handlemecarefully · 06/09/2004 23:23

Got up at 02.00 to respond to dd's night terrors. Up again at 05.00 to give baby ds a bottle. Up 'proper' at 06.40 when dd decided it was time to get up. Hung out washing. Played with dd whilst balancing ds on knee then went to playgroup from 09.40 - 12.00. Returned home for quick lunch and some chores. By 14.00 out again to the library to choose books for dd. Highpoint of day was ice lollies whilst out. Home by 16.30 and gave dd tea, then entertained both kids until dd went to bed at 20.00 and baby ds finally secumbed at 20.30. Then at 20.30 foraged around in the dark to get washing in off the line. Did some quick chores. Then wrote some correspondence for a NCT thingy I am organising at a local show. Dh came hour at 21.30 as is typical. Highly exciting day (not)

bobs · 06/09/2004 23:47

eidsvold · 07/09/2004 01:19

today I will mainly be doing laundry after weekend away and catching up on housework. ENjoying a day at home with dd instead of going out to some group or therapy or something. Painting the walls in dd's room whilst she is asleep. Framing some pics with fabric for dd's new room.

enid · 07/09/2004 20:27

got up at 6.30am with dds. Made their breakfast, including pancakes for dd1 (convalescing, won't eat anything else). put washing on. Danced to wiggles theme tune with dd2. Took dh coffee in bed. Helped him pack for two nights away at trade show. Had shower. Put work clothes on covered by apron. Sent myself an email to work with some stuff I've been working on at home. Rang the gp trying to organise MRI scan for myself. Made mash for sheperds pie for dds lunch, put pie in oven on auto cook (requiring hasty search for oven instructions and much poring). Sat chatting to dd's while they both did poos - dd2 is learning to use potty. Cleaned teeth, put make up on, kissed dh goodbye. Childminder arrives, explain lunch, importance of walk and fresh air for dds, put some washing on.

That is all before 9am

TracyK · 07/09/2004 20:33

Fed ds at 4.30, went back to (spare) bed - not sleeping with dh just now due to his snoring and my needing sleep! Got up at 7.45 and fed ds again. Washed, dressed and downstairs for banana porridge at 9am.
Wlaked dog and ds. Took ds to HV weigh in/social gathreing. Came home and did the village hall accounts. played with ds in the garden and paddling pool. Tried to phone a few people to arrange the weekend.
Walked dog and ds again. Bath, massage and bed for ds.
Now waiting for dh to come home from golf!

earlygirl · 08/09/2004 15:11

i feel guilty cause the only useful thing ive done is walk to nursery to pick up ds
should be searching for a lost car key but cant face another fruitless search

xoz · 08/09/2004 15:58

today, get up, shower, breakfast all round, tidy bedrooms, sheets in washing machine, take dd1 to nursery, dd2 to toddlers next door, then pick up dd1 again, home for lunch, done nothing much since. dd2 asleep, dd1 did some of her counting book and spent some time on cbeebies website, startnig to think about dinner, but don't really want to eat anything because of my morning sickness.
Thanks for the nice messages from before about my eyes. I'm quite okay now, (was very freaked out Monday), but can't do anything except wear the lenses and see what happens, so no point worrying!
