Yesterday I went out with DSs and a friend and her DS we had a lovely day, fed the swans, played mini golf, had a nice lunch then stopped off at the play park.
Boys playing nicely, when in come 2 Vicki Pollard look alikes and their offspring.
Cha as they come, Kids have matted hair and are snotty and the mothers have greasy hair pulled in to pony tails and ad skin and look like if they could spell the word diet they would die of shock.
So the kids start to play and the mums sit eating Mc'Donalds meals and moaning that it was not as nice as the one they had yesterday and telling one of the kids to F off for asking for a chip.

Anyway one of the girls pushes over friends DS who is 3 and my DS2 tells her that she must not do that as its not nice.
So fat mum one turns to fat mum 2 and says if he has a go at her again i'll smack him one so I give her my best you really think so you dirty ho look and she gets back to stuffing her fat face with minced feet.

About 10 minuets later we are getting ready to leave and DS2 falls over and starts to cry, comes running to me with scuffed up hands and knees, so fat mum 2 turns round and says for fuck sake shut up. so brushing down DS2 i say to him come on DS2 lets leave Vicki pollard to it (as she sits rolling her own fag) (could they get any more pikey) so she looks at me and I smle sweetly and walk off.
DS1 said mummy that woman was very rude, what if she had hit DS2 would you have hit her?
And you know what I would have done n a heartbeat. But like all weebles i think she would have wobbled but not fell down.

I hate people like that.
RANT OVER, nothing to see here go about your business.

There was another witness to the Tony Martin shooting. Forsenics (bullet angle, entry wound damage, don't we all watch CSI? ) confirmed the shot was from high on the stairs, entry in the victim's back, from a distance. Unarmed, too, I'm pretty sure. I think Martin agreed with some of witness details, of what the victim was saying and doing when shot.

At the moment it is not legal in the UK or even in most of the USA to kill someone only in the cause of defending property. The lives of human beings even "pikey chav" thieves are worth more than material things.

You can use lethal force to protect human life, of course, you can do that everywhere.

I'm American, too. And what you've said are not things I would be bragging about.

I have to say that regardless of how offended some people are by kimi's language she came on here obviously upset after a very unpleasant experience and was immediately attacked. Not very empathetic and it might have been nicer to point out to her that she was right to be upset with her kiddie getting threatened by some moron but not to use certain words that certain people find racist. Though I always thought chavs were proud of being chavs but what do I know, we have neds up here and they are yet another strange section of society, seemingly proud of their aggressive lifestyle.

And we had a guy at school called Pikey because his surname was Pike and that slang word I had never heard until I started using MN! We call them Tinks, meaning an Irish Traveller, Romany Gypsys are just called, well, Romany Gypsys. It is usually the Tinks who cause the problems.

I do think peoples opinions would change if they had to live in the vicinity of one of these travellers sites. They do not pay tax so therefore should not have first call on school places, doctors appointments etc. I have often wondered why they don't train one of their family to be a teacher and home school all the children, giving them a constant education, helped by the local authority if wished but not completely reliant on them. If they wanted to give their children an education it would be better surely to do that that constant changing of schools etc. They could, I would imagine, use local school facilities or something. I don't think they should be funded though, not while so many people are struggling financially these days.

Our local site provided for them is in use just now. I realised this by the amount of "charity collectors" coming to the door from charities I have never heard from. I do find it intimidating when people come to the door asking for money anyway, even from proper charities. No doubt they will leave, as they always do, a huge pile of rubbish to be cleaned at the expense of the local taxpayer.

So Kimi, let me just say I feel really sorry you had to go through that. I don't know what I would have done in your position, I don't think I would have hit her but then again in those situations it is hard to plan what you are going to do. I just wish some people on here were a little less ready to sign themselves up to the PC brigade. Reality is a different matter and I ended my association with being PC when I moved to here and had a shocker of a life lesson in how certain people live.

claireabo · 06/04/2007 23:27

omg kimi, actually feeling physical pain for you.I swear if my family were subjected to the ignorant crap you had to put up with today i would be on a murder charge right now! Iam over weight and not offended by the word fat in the context you used it but god help me it is not unknown for my children to drink fruit shoot in times of dire thirst this lot are not seeing it for what it was a good mummy angry with rotten people for being mean to not only your but their own children.Fat greedy individuals who cant/wont feed their children would it be funnier if they were eating pasta and swilling evian ! I think not love to kimi

custy · 06/04/2007 23:52

sorry you had rubbish day kimi.

just FYI, 'Pikey' is bone fide racism.

and Chav - although some people think the term offensive ( as i do) isn't yet in the PC bible of terms not to use.

truly sorry for your horrible experience. there and here.

PeachyChocolateEClair · 07/04/2007 12:56

'I do think peoples opinions would change if they had to live in the vicinity of one of these travellers sites.'

Actually, I grew up near a Travellers camp and nearish Glastonbury in the 'old' days (ie pre- Chelsea hippy), so have met a few! And yes some of them are downright awful- for example, the childrens carnival club e have beena ssociated with has ahd practically all their kit swiped by travellers near them. But- and I know this is just me and this has nothing to do with the OP now- just because some of a group aren't very nice, I try not to jusge all the people on that basis. for a start, it won't help the children change will it? If they can't go in shops, or get called names when they're out- how does that give them positive role models?

You can't engender positive change by alienating groupings from society. yes puish thieves /child abusers / wahtever- of course. And with enough stringency for it to be a real punishment too. But not all Travellers (or members of any groups) are criminals/ bad 'uns please don't label them as such.

mamatres · 07/04/2007 13:17

god they sound like ghastly women. and i would have hit anyone in a flash if they hit one of my children. that would just be my instinct. and prob the instinct of any other mother i know. i dont think Op was that insulting. i think she was justified. and i think she has come in for some very harsh and unwarranted critisicm over her language. however i know form prev experience that the words you used were not best chosen for MN and i wont use them again personally. its never worth upsetting people.

RedLorryYellowLorry · 07/04/2007 13:20

Kimi, unfortunately there are some horrible people around. There was one guy in the park playing ball with his son. My 2 yo ran towards the ball which was lifted out of his reach by this guy and he said "get your f'in dad to buy you a ball" . Then there was the mum in the waiting room of the One Stop Shop of the Town Hall. She picked a fight with another woman (think she knew her) and they f'ed and jeffed oblivious to the rest of us with children. I said something as I was so shocked and she "yeah butted" was she wasn't embarrassed. The shocking thing was she had a child and her mum with her . These type of incidents depress me but also make me I try not to judge and generalise but it's hard sometimes so I really sympathise with you and understand from where your rant came

kimiTheEasterBunny · 07/04/2007 16:00

Thanks everyone who did not attack me,
TBH I am so over these vile women now (spot of retail therapy and the big family Easter I have planned took my mind off of it)= kids have been spoilt silly
I guess I am never going to like people like that no matter what, but what the heck let them get on with their big mac stuffing non child washing, tacky gold wearing, effing and blinding, violence threatening existence.

The sun is out its a lovely day and life is too short!!
