Apparently DS has been promised Lego Masters tonight while we eat, no no idea when I will fit in Strike I shall also be needing a long hot bath tonight.

Good morning wenches. I managed to cause a grade 2 calf tear by walking down the stairs a bit too bouncily last night....made a lovely popping sound and everything. So I'm confined to the sofa with a bag of peas, contemplating how badly my toenails need repainting and willing the small Elks to have an extra long lie in.....I do have the TV remote however, sooooo..........one gues what I'm watching.

Got to get up and take ds to town to do something vaguely productive. It's pissing rain.

Im bricking it cos I have this charity clarinet concert next sunday, and the exam. We've been emailed a gagillion instructions for what will be a very long day and it's all a bit if I get through the day without getting a migraine and am able to play the actual concert it will be a miracle

OMG. Have just watched it. Crisis this morning as the website wouldn't load so I was desperately trying to watch it as live but nada. However, joyously I've just managed to see it.

Key points;

1. OMC when he was walking down the stairs looking at her in the dress. His eyes! The Fuck me eyes! Possibly my fave bit of TV ever 😍👏🏻😄.

2. even though I'd read the book I'd actually managed to forget who is was, and so was quite startled when it kicked off in the office!! I know I'm not alone to feel entirely and inappropriately turned on by TB punching people in the face.

3. I definitely want that dress.

4. I thought the nuance between the characters esp regarding the job at the end was done tremendously well.

5. Still wasn't sure about DI whatnot's fringe.

6. Thought Helmand bit was very well done. TB hot in uniform, even in horror filled situ.

7. thought the Alan Partridge homage ref the 'leave it a bit' in the loo was very funny

8. Matthew has turned into a right prick even before meeting Strike!

9. was Shanker in the first book? I only remember him from no3? In any case a good character to bring in. It didn't really cover about why Strike thought J has killed Charlie at the quarry did it?

10. CANNOT WAIT FOR SILKWORM.

Comtess says 10/10. Bloody marvellous. Excellent all round most specifically TB who was bloody terrific. And HOT AS FUCK.

Letus I hear you on expensive beasts - today I've had to pay for ds4 to have 4 teeth out (milk teeth refusing to budge out way of adult teeth). Almost fainted with the bill. The NHS is the envy of the world for good reason. Not even fun stuff.

Apes you need to watch the stairs bit on the big screen. And then make a gif when you get home so I can play that bit forever 😍
