Afternoon all! Very sad news again.

I didn't watch Versailles after all. We had an unexpected BBQ invitation from DD which was very nice, so I didn't have to cook.

Well, it's an inset day at DGS's school tomorrow which I didn't know about until last night and DH in off on a golfing day, so I seem to be in charge. I never know what to do with him. DH is so much better with him than me. DGD was easier because I could knit and sew and go through jewellery and make-up with her but I know nothing about cars which are his main interest. Oh and I've got a dental appointment in the morning too. Fun.

Hurrah for the unexpected BBQ Apricot Does DGS liek the park/playground? (Or will be expect you to play with him?) Or take him to a car dealership they might let him have some brochures that he can take home to look at and keep him quiet? Local museum? Lego? DVDs? Sympatthies anyway... entertaining small people is hard work.

In an effort to avoid tidying tedium I have researched car insurance and also done a bit of food shopping. Has been lovely weather all day,but I suspect it's thinking about raining now...

Thanks for suggestions Helen. Trouble is, I won't take him to a playground in case he falls off something and breaks yet another bone. He's not interested in lego. He's been to all the dealerships, has sat in all the cars, and always wants an overpriced model, I'm talking £40, which is supposed to be for collectors only, and he breaks it in a week. We have no local museums although I suspect he wouldn't be interested. No other local children to kill play with either. He has outside vehicles to play on here, so it will probably be those and then DVDs and YouTube car adverts on the TV which drive me mad.

Going to catch up on Versailles now.

Theatre was fab last night, went on my own & had very nice people in the row next to me - age really does bring some advantages . There were some delays in teh performance & I didn't get home 'til gone 12.30. Went out again at 1am . Now?

apricot can you tie DGS to the bridge of a local motorway (to make sure he is secure, not because you want to leave him there) and get him to watch the cars pass below him? Count the different makes and colours? You could take a deck chair, headphones, and a good book... Good luck at dentist btw.
