DP gave me a digital camera for Xmas and i still haven't learned how to use it.
Can't be doing with those personal organiser things.
WAP phones, any mobile function beyond the basic
and setting the video....

cant use the digital camera let alone download the stuff onto the puter
Puter is an antique
dont own a bread machine, dishwasher

but.... have just bought a freeview box

bundle · 04/07/2004 14:52

can't programme our video on the timer, but I've managed thus far and dvd-land looms so I probably won't bother trying..

CountessDracula · 04/07/2004 15:12

I don't see why I should get a dvd player when I have a perf. good video

I don't want a shitty camera on my mobile

I don't have and don't want a food processor - I like chopping etc

Fio2 · 04/07/2004 15:14

I dont want a camcorder

sillyme · 04/07/2004 15:14

most technology I'm afraid!
Dread having to get a new car soon, hate the idea of electronics in a car!

bundle · 04/07/2004 15:16

vhs is on the blink, chews up tapes more & more frequently.
having food processor can be quite fun, although therapeutic benefits of chopping should never be underestimated. it's a bit like at work, I like editing on computer but occasionally love the more hands-on 1/4 inch tape and razor blade combination is irresistable...

sponge · 04/07/2004 15:17

Don't panic Roisin - the PIN is only a 4 digit number and you can change the one they give you to something you can remember.

And all you non mobile mums - everyone should be able to drive - whether you have a car or even need one or not. It's like being able to swim - you might need to in an emergency.

I love technology. Have Sky Plus, DVD, computer, digital camera, MP3, PDA etc etc. Generally speaking if there's a gadget out there I want it.
However there are some I don't really see the point of - phones with cameras and WAP services for instance. I prefer gadgets that do one thing well rather than ones that try to masquerade as a sub-standard version of lots of things.

gothicmama · 04/07/2004 15:24

have not got a microwave but that is the only bit of modern tech not interested in would love piccy mobile phone tho

wilbur · 04/07/2004 15:45

I usd to be a real techno girl, worked with technology and always knew how to programme stuff etc. These days though I just can;t retain all the instructions and am reduced to asking dh to set the video.

iota · 04/07/2004 15:50

I have never used the cd player in my 18 mth old car.
Can't be doing with that ipod nonsense either

I do however love my skyplus box.

codswallop · 04/07/2004 15:55

Quite scared by keyless car (like Renault do) hence bought a different make when ours was written off. Ok with most other things but sadly don't know my own mobile number, always forget to switch it on/charge it and have only just learnt to text (sorry, Coddy). Also, don't do mothorways since I nearly died on one on New Year's Day

On retirement my Mum bought herself a PC and phoned me to say there was a problem with the mouse because the little arrow on the screen wasn't moving. I drove to her house to discover the real reason that "the little arrow" wasn't moving was because she was holding the mouse up and moving it around in the air, not flat on the desk! OMG if I ever turn out like my mother, shoot me!!

Bagpuss30 · 04/07/2004 16:00

I don't even understand predictive text and can never get it to work .
