So pleased the cleaner is nice!

Hope you have a comfortable afternoon Zombie.

DramaAlpaca · 06/01/2017 16:50

That's great news about the helpful OT and the lovely cleaner.

iklboo · 06/01/2017 16:51

Sorry you've been in pain today Zombie - good news about the bed & cleaner though.

I'm frightfully relaxed after my pamper session today. All the knots have been worked out of my shoulders.

Phoned work about my return to work next week. Boss has green lit working from home to start with - she's having a sit down with HR on Monday to iron out a proper phased return in line with the Occ Health recommendations. I'll know more Monday / Tuesday.

Wool ordered to massacre some squares for the Hugs. Petrol & plum. I think I'll do a few practice squares with leftover bits of wool I've got in to get back in the swing.

UnbornMortificado · 06/01/2017 17:44

Zombie I told you she would love you (as everyone does)

My granny has one since her dementia started, she enjoys the company aswell as the household help and they are really close.

Hope you make a new friend too Flowers

Sorry about the discomfort, tomorrow is a new (hopefully diamond) day.

In other news after being out of work 4 years due to mental health issues and DD's health problems I have a job interview Monday.

I'm extra nervous but with DD2 starting school September and my MH being stable since February (more impressive then it sounds) I'm ready for a challenge.

cozietoesie · 06/01/2017 17:54

Baths

I had a friend with a very aggressive tumour and her hair fell out during treatment. When it regrew, her formerly straight mouse brown hair had disappeared and she became a curly redhead! (Naturally.)

Tell Bathslad that anything might happen. I reckon purple would be a long shot but Hey...........Grin

So happy about the cleaner and bed! And the comfort items like the tray and trolley. There are so many gizmos out there to help people with limitations, so if you find a difficulty in any of your ADLs (Activities of Daily Living) just speak up, there's probably a gizmo out there. When I shattered my ankle and was 'no weight bearing' for 3 months I ended up with a walker with a basket, a phone 'necklace' thingy, a dropped item picker-upper, and a few other odds and ends.

SloanyAnne · 06/01/2017 18:03

Sorry to hear about your pain. I hope you're feeling comfy now the painkillers are doing their stuff.

Will you have a lovely view outside from the new bed? Lots going on or a tree that'll leaf up in spring?

Ginslinger · 06/01/2017 18:27

fab news about the cleaner - I'm slinging gin to you

whitehandledkitchenknife · 06/01/2017 18:32

Raising an early schooner of sherry to the cleaner news Zombie. May the new bed be cosy and comfy.

Susiesoap7 · 06/01/2017 18:36

Just ordered my wool too ikl! I've ordered 5 balls cos I couldn't decide , they colours are so lovely. I will only be able to do plain ones so I might do a little embroidery on them, maybe tiny zombie pics lol 😂 🌺🌸🌺🌸

MadisonAvenue · 06/01/2017 18:38

Well done. Both on your recovery from mental ill health and getting a job interview. 11 months is a long time in mental health, my admiration for you knows no bounds. (DD2 has PTSD and GAD and struggles some days). I've no doubt you'll be brilliant in the interview and even better at the job.

Zombie, I'm so happy you're getting sorted with a bed and a cleaner. I hope you get your pain meds sorted.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/01/2017 19:32

Phew! What a relief about the cleaner, I was getting my spear polished for a set to if she wasn't up to scratch.

You must ask her if she's a MNer Grin
If she isn't, she should be.

BathshebaDarkstone · 06/01/2017 19:34

Thanks again Unborn Smile

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/01/2017 19:35

Everything crossed for you on Monday Unborn Flowers

Bloody well done you, overcoming all those challenges at once.

MrsMozart · 06/01/2017 19:37

Zombie Yay the cleaner and new bed to come, et al. This we, The Phalanx, are pleased about. Boo the pain! This, we The... etc. etc., aren't pleased about in the slightest. Very glad it's passed and hoping it doesn't come back.

Unborn Very well done lass! Everything crossed it goes as you want it to.

Roseformeplease · 06/01/2017 19:38

Congratulations for winning the Christmas name change competition. Couldn't happen to a nicer Zombie.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/01/2017 20:01

Ooh, hadn't seen that Rose , do you get a prize Zomb?

BathshebaDarkstone · 06/01/2017 20:34

cozie well he went from blond ringlets to poker straight dark brown when he was little, so anything's possible! Grin

BathshebaDarkstone · 06/01/2017 20:42

Z yay for the bed and the cleaner, hope you're pain free now. Flowers

BathshebaDarkstone · 06/01/2017 20:49

Oh yes congratulations Z! It was a great Christmas name, that I couldn't help singing, and whenever I heard Deck the Halls I had to sing "...with limbs of Zombie, tra la la la la la la la la" Grin

saffronwblue · 06/01/2017 21:00

So happy that the cleaner is fab. You want someone you feel comfortable pottering about with your stuff. I had one who jabbed her finger at me and shamed me over how many out of date spices I had in my pantry. Blush

Fiderer · 06/01/2017 21:05

saffron Blimey she'd have a field day here. I'd have jabbed her back.

Well I'd have been v polite and fired her. Then spent a whole day wishing I had jabbed her in the eye.
