We are indeed two people, but like AntandDec, no one is entirely sure who is who, and that includes us at times Grin

Hugs Zombie, but not too tight in case anything falls off. xxxx

Probably Fid. He obviously thinks that "women have long hair, men have short hair" so it's very much part of his identity. He says that he's "more comfortable identifying as a girl in social situations". I haven't pointed out that he's 26, that would be "woman", not "girl". Hmm

BathshebaDarkstone · 06/01/2017 10:42

KnottyAndPistey should have a trademark! Grin

Hi everyone.

Glad you had a good day Zombie and that the pain relief is doing its stuff.

You sound like such an amazing woman, and it seems you have touched so many with your dignity, strength and sense of fun.

To get a hug from a medic is a Big Thing. They're so used to the journeys of patients that you must have made a massive impact to crack the facade!

Bath - both you and Bathslad sound amazing. I love his style Grin

Tell me to mind my own/fuck off if you like, but does your lovely DS identify as a girl in other ways or in dress sense alone? He does know that's it's ok for a lad to dress in "girl's" clothes doesn't he? He most probably does and I am probably way off the mark so please tell me to fuck right off if I've offended you in any way Flowers (please ask him where he got his hat? Grin).

BathshebaDarkstone · 06/01/2017 11:04

Sleeps we haven't had that conversation, I'd hope so though. When I was bemoaning the lack of choice in vests for DD (pink, pink or pink), he did suggest shopping in the boys' section. Unfortunately the choice there is grey or white. Hmm

I'll email him now to ask where he got his hat! Grin

It's very easy to take our children's physical and mental health for granted. Your doing fab by the sounds of it Flowers

breatheinskipthegym · 06/01/2017 14:44

Zombie, I think you're incredible. You're often in my thoughts although I've only lurked so far. Add this stranger to your list of admirers, and know that I'm wishing you all the very best.

Well, as I said recently: Good days come at a price. I went to bed about 10pm last night. I had a bit of discomfort but fell asleep easily. I was up a couple of times for toilet breaks and to drink more water to ease my dry mouth. When I woke for good around 9.30am I was in a lot of pain. My tummy was bloated and hard as a rock. I immediately took a dose of Oramorph and spent the next few hours sitting in my chair holding & rubbing my tummy and occasionally dozing off.

The Occupational Therapist arrived spot on time at 1.00pm. I will be getting a hospital bed with a memory foam mattress and hand grips, an over the bed table and a trolley so I can move more than 2 items at a time around the ground floor. My needs will be kept under review.

The prospective cleaner is due to arrive at 3.30pm. Fingers crossed we like each other.

PurpleDaisies · 06/01/2017 14:55

If she's no good she'll have the wrath of the phalanx to contend with...

Fiderer · 06/01/2017 15:30

Purple I thought had the same thought. Grin And the wrath would not be only virtual.

Ginslinger · 06/01/2017 15:33

I hope your cleaner is lovely

tinatsarina · 06/01/2017 15:52

Hi I'm a long time lurker but I just wanted to say you are an inspiration to everyone and we all love you and hope your tummy has eased off enough to let you pick a good cleaner GrinFlowers

Wolfiefan · 06/01/2017 15:53

Hoping the cleaner is lovely. Sorry for the price of the good day. Hoping this means you are due a good day tomorrow.

IamtheZombie · 06/01/2017 16:09
