I was wearing it, honest, trawling round TKMaxx Wink

Maybe I'll trot it out again for the airport welcoming posse.

Have to ask Susie what the dress code is for that, I feel it may be a little 'de trop' before noon.

Is that rosemary or an umbrella PD ? Have taken my eyes out (well lenses) and am not sure.

FidGirl was talking to her English teacher and no idea how it came up - phrasal verbs maybe - and told her 'Mum says she puts her eyes in, takes them out, and puts her face on.' Which makes me sound most odd.

Like the look of the fruity thing, is it a fruity cocktail?

Jenijena · 17/12/2016 04:40

(Lurker delurks to say congratulations to mr and Mrs zombie...)

BathshebaSnowflakeStone · 17/12/2016 06:01

BathsLad had his 2nd dose of chemotherapy last night, with steroids beforehand, then PEG. He says he was high on drugs and sugar all night! Xmas Grin

Fiderer · 17/12/2016 07:24

Baths sounds like a good Friday night :)

Wonder where my boys are. Sure I heard one come in with a friend a couple of hours ago. FidBoy1 was DJ'ing at a wedding I think. Am a bit nostalgic for the Lego days like wot PD has.

Nah, remember spending 87 hours assembling a Lego Star Wars thingy. I thought time itself had stopped. Me with it.

FrancesNiadova · 17/12/2016 09:05

De-Lurking to wish the happy couple all the best.
All good wishes to you too Zombie. -x-

OhTheRoses · 17/12/2016 09:08

Good Lord Pacific Xmas Grin. Wouldn't a small sherry have done.

Mother and step will be here in abt 30 mins. Have to avoid traffic on a busy shopping day. Heads out of bath towards sherry. Is it too early ?

ChristianGreysAnatomy · 17/12/2016 09:09

Best wishes for a lovely Christmas to you and your family, Zombie

BathshebaSnowflakeStone · 17/12/2016 10:12

BathsLad is still obsessed with Lego. Xmas Hmm

PacificDogwod · 17/12/2016 10:14

How is the happy ZCouble and ZIL this morning?

I am hoarse.

That was indeed a sprig of rosemary Grin

I have built that Lego Star Wars thingies - -ies, you not, plural! Hmm

Allalonenow · 17/12/2016 10:18

It's never too early for a small sherry Roses Xmas Smile

Fiderer · 17/12/2016 10:44

I'm bypassing sherry and heading for gin. It is D minus 4 hours. Meeting early-ish and a bit of a trek away.

So despite my insouciant and breezy texts to CGM (Cuban guitar man) I am a bit fraught. Feel like I have to restore an ancient monument (me) in very little time.

But I am v much looking forward to it Grin

Somerville · 17/12/2016 10:45

Hope they're enjoying their mini-moon.

My 15YO is a Lego obsessive. She's completed a lot of the architecture range but complains it's too white and boring. Someone more generous than me has bought her the Disney castle which she will love but it's so big I'm worried she might decide to make it a family project.

Somerville · 17/12/2016 10:49

Fid it's so nerve-wracking, a first date after a long time. But remember that he'll be nervous too. Don't go telling him it feels like a job interview like I did And I'd say not to get drunk and snog him but the snogging has already begun so that's probably safe.
Oh - be safe if you do more than snogging!!

Fiderer · 17/12/2016 10:51

I think I wept with relief when FidGirl (my youngest) was old enough to assemble the Playmobil pyramid she got for Christmas, by herself.

We've still got all the Lego & Playmobil, btw for those of you with younger children. It never leaves the house.

PacificDogwod · 17/12/2016 10:53

Apparently 3 glasses of prosecco is the perfect Getting Ready amount - I'm told.
Fiderer, he will be nervous too, but won't be as worried about what he looks like. And, in my middle-aged, heavily married experience, I have yet to meet a man who is not pathetically grateful when a woman is showing an interest.

Fiderer · 17/12/2016 11:00

Thing is, I know all these things, rationally and calmly, I do know.

Am just a quivering jelly Grin
