ZombieLad gets married today. Hats on and champagne at the ready!

A week today he and ZombieLass arrive to spend Christmas with me. It will be the Best. Christmas. Ever.

There have been no miracles so my remaining days keep ticking away. Life is for living. Death is not to be feared. Wakes are for celebrating.

The EMTs gave me Fentanyl (intra-nasal) when I shattered my ankle due to transport issues. I had to be gurney-ed a quarter mile over ice then a 3 hour ambulance ride on icy roads to the nearest hospital. Anyway, I really liked the Fentanyl. It got rid of the pain but didn't 'zonk' me out. It actually made me feel a bit 'euphoric'. I hope it affects you the same way. I can't really 'do' Morphine as it makes me nauseous and makes me really loopy.

Sorry for putting a dampener on the Phestive Phalanx - but have good news! Finally THE letter from the court stating what I have to pay for the divorce. Last letter was "Pay this" and my lawyer did his "Yes but" and it's going on for months. And 6000 forms. He's a grumpy old sod but ...

The now officially court-decreed amount is 40% less than the original demand There is a caveat that once it's through there may be costs once it's through (aren't there always?) But I have to fork up starting 1 Jan so any reduction welcome esp at that time of the year.

Oh God, MIL arrives tomorrow, I've upset dd. Again. She's deeply offended; she'll probably hurt herself. My fault. Roll on Christmas. Not sure what more I can do to try and get things right and never male a mistake.

Am so relieved. There are only 4 payments up front and they were €1000 a month which considering I work part-time and feed the Gannets and my translation work has dried up, was a bit "holy fuck".

zombie I'd advise having a system to remember when you put the patches on. A dot on the calendar or something. Once zlad gets there and you are caught up in other things you'd be surprised how easy it is to loose track!

Am v appreciative of all your comments and support. Feel like I've been holding my breath for so long for this ruling and really expected it to come after Christmas, so it would have been hanging over me.

Now I'm going to surgically remove FidGirl's mobile from her (PD approved) because she's been on it for 2 hours and we get up in 5. Then when we get to my Mum's, I can have bacon and mushrooms for breakfast
