a nice fresh new one, how is everyone, and have you heard back from your castings yet ?

BigmummaL · 19/02/2007 22:34

I think that must be the same thing that my ds had a casting with as they said the shoot would be in S. London. How old is your LO? Not sure about Dulwich station or the taxi situation, round where I live it seems sometimes they take you with a car seat and sometimes they don't! x

totallyfloaty35 · 19/02/2007 22:48

totally....congrats on the job for baby. Hope it goes really well for both of you today.

tinkerbelle.....did your DD ever appear in Junior? I remember that you did a shoot for them and wonder if I have missed her. I do get the mags so have all the copies to check if she was in it????

Hi there,

Just heard from UA regarding a casting for Mamas & Papas on Tuesday, just waiting on the details. Is there anyone else going?

totallyfloaty35 · 01/03/2007 17:00

My casting is monday for mamas an pappas

clj118 · 05/03/2007 17:10

Hi all, hope all well,

DD1 has been optioned for Boden, B&b called and they said she is on strong hold whatever that means and b & b just awaiting confirmation for the job, the shoot is 3, 4 and 5th April so gotta keep dates free!

DD2 has her first job tomorrow for New look, for in store and window posters, its at fish tank studios same place as m & s casting, so exciting! Can't wait.

Good luck to everyone waiting to here on jobs and for any castings xx

2ManyPimms · 05/03/2007 19:44

Well, I guess DS didn't get the Boden job. Shame. It would have been his last. Nuts. I guess it doesn't matter that we have to give up the modelling lark, the phone wasn't exactly ringing off the hook for him.

Oh well...it was a bit of fun anyway.

Housemum · 12/03/2007 16:18

sha11 - my thoughts too - I still haven't really got the same feelings towards msn. This was easy to just pop in and read down, rather than having to look at individual messages.

I must admit that since the new site I post a lot less on there than I did here and I also find I lose track of who's doing what - I can't just scroll down the page.

On the good news front DD has a job at last for Woolies! Anyone on this thread going on Wednesday?

ThisTime · 13/03/2007 19:37

Hi, I used to post as SamsMumLou on MSN but not been able to get in for a while(justifying over now!)

Anyway my DS has his first casting!! Its for Mama's & Papa's in Bradford on March 22nd. My question is agency have stated its for 0-20 months but also asked for his clothes size. Sam wears 18-23 as he is a bigger boy. Do you think this would hinder him?

Sorry of it sounds like a dumb question but a newbie in castings

elle31 · 13/03/2007 20:33

I can't believe how this thread has died, I did not log on that much but it was always there.(Full time work -uurrghhhhh). Hope all castings and jobs have gone well for everyone. My dd had a casting for a new catalouge near Charing Cross on Friday so fingers crossed

Housemum · 14/03/2007 09:26

ThisTime - I don't know how much size matters. I suppose with some of the clothing it might - my DD is tall for her age, and it does get commented upon occasionally at castings - don't know if that's good or bad. She has done 2 clothes jobs - Next and Boden, though these were when she was just over 1. However she has also had jobs for Dorling Kindersley, Boots Club and Mother & Baby magazine so obviously it's not that much of a hindrance as they are going for looks and will just get clothes that fit whatever size they are.

Just measured her against the kitchen wall as she has a job for Woolies today - she's 107cm! And not 4 for another month - that's well and truly in the 4-5 clothes range.

As for your casting, if they are looking for 20 mth size and he's in 18-23 it sounds like he's in the middle of the right sizing range anyway. Also, what size you buy to fit is different from what they would necessarily want - DD has been in clothes sizes I wouldn't have bought but they fittd snugly - good for the camera but no room to grow if you see what I mean.

mum2twoboyz · 21/03/2007 18:17

thistime....
hard to say - ds had a casting when he was 6 months old - but nearly out of 6-9m clothing.... the casting was babies up to 9m - so when i said his size, they just stuck him in 6-9m and it was too smal - which i think was the reason he never got the job, as the clothing didnt fit....
so - depends if they want aged 20m that fit in clothes up to 12-18m or up to 18-23m.....
let us know how u get on...

ThisTime · 21/03/2007 20:09

Thanks Housemum & Mumof2 - have posted over on the March thread so will update after casting tomorrow.

Just really intrigued to see how a casting works. Its a ride out if nothing else

christabel · 23/03/2007 22:27

Anybody on here from Yorkshire or nearby. My DD is 7 and has been modelling since Jan this year and had a fair few jobs but it drives me mad sometimes when you get phone calls on a Thursday morning saying your child is wanted for a job next day and are you available (why so little notice) (sorry just rambling on as annoyed today as had to turn down two well paid modelling jobs today as so short notice).

mum2twoboyz · 24/03/2007 14:08

cristabel....
im afraid thats pretty much the nature of modelling - quite often jobs are last minute, ur lucky if u get a few days notice...

3lambs · 12/04/2007 12:11

Is this thread still active??

lizzymouse69 · 13/04/2007 20:58
