... then we just carry on jabbering and perving, and rewatching, and, well business as usual. Apparently there are plenty of thighs on display at the Olympics.

Are you surprised sparks? Grin He can top my podium any time he likes Wink

ApricotCrush · 10/08/2016 11:37

Very good Fancy if somewhat biased. Wink

Right then, we're off after lunch. Enjoy the Olypubs, the Versailles finale those who watch it, and I hope returning wenches had a good time.

Will try to keep in touch, wifi permitting. ILYA. Smile

I'll take somewhat biased apricot Grin, that's rather generous of you!

Have a wonderful holiday, hope wi-fi allows you to check in Smile

Comtess · 10/08/2016 12:22

Mwahahaha LOVE the Musketeer Top trumps. Brilliant 😂

Shame about our girls in the diving but I think they got a PB so I'm sure they were delighted to be there. Even in the manky green pool which looked like it should have been in the hippo bit at the zoo.

Loved Japan giving it some to NZ in the R7s.

Been all efficient at home today putting together new beds. Twinnis not sharing a room here for the first time ever which they both love and find odd which is quite sweet really.
Have booked my big boy his flight out for Christmas hols!

laters

AriadneNoir · 10/08/2016 12:26

I wish there was a like button on here. Grin

I'm liking Fancy bring somewhat biased - possibly almost as biased as I am re: Athos. Wink

Slow down comtess, you're showing me up Blush. All I've achieved is watching loads of sport. I think our divers haven't been together long, so hopefully they'll get better & better. And one of them has just done her GCSEs Shock

Two excellent silvers in the pool for GB last night and in further good news, Geraint Thomas is a late entry in the time trial this afternoon. That calls for a re-posting of the pic of us fan-girling him Grin

No medal for G, but he's done well.

Rugby 7s on atm, for lovers of muscly men

FancyFancy · 10/08/2016 16:55

Yay!!!! Froome got the bronze medal & Cancellara got gold - nice result Smile

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/08/2016 18:57

Have parroted the cycling stuff to DH Fancy Grin

The Top Trumps seems to be missing:
Sword Skills, which of course Athos wins hands down (or up, or anywhere he wants to put them Wink )
CSI Paris skills
Medicinal skills (Aramis for Embroidery and Surgery, Athos for anaesthetic & soup withdrawal)

That diving was fab wasn't it helen? Am now watching the gymnastics, Max Whitlock doing well so far.

Worth catching up on the highlights tonight wenches, we've got medals in judo, shooting & canoeing. Or kayaking Confused I can never remember what the difference is.

FancyFancy · 10/08/2016 22:34

WOOOT!!!! Whitlock has a bronze at least Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 10/08/2016 22:44

Hurrah! (I think it was kayaking, though I have no idea of the difference eitherr - paddles do you think?)

And we won the rugby - into the semi-finals. Not convinced we'll get into the finals though.

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 10/08/2016 22:59

Ooh could be - is one where you use both ends of the paddle & the other just the one iyswim? I'm sure I was told during the last Olympics, but promptly forgot Blush

Good news about the rugby

GB will face South Africa in the semi-finals of the men's rugby sevens on Thursday. If they win, they go for golf.

Really BBC? If the rugby team win the semis, then go for a nice round of golf?! Grin Grin Grin

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 10/08/2016 23:29

Maybe they'll make them compete in the golf, as so many of the top one's aren't in Rio? Grin

MadamedeChevreuse · 11/08/2016 09:14

Hi honeys Im home!!!!

I have 20 hundred loads of washing to do. And a week of freelance work starting today. And no childcare for ds. And dss1 arriving later today.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 11/08/2016 09:54

Madame - mwah!!! welcome home
Re. "No childcare for ds. And dss1 arriving later today."
I think you'll find those two will cancel each other out then Grin

re freelance. I took on a 'small' job for someone - the spreadsheet is up to 165 line. That is not a small job - that's bigger than the big job that I havent' even started yet. Angry. speaking of which.

WOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

Freelance job has been cancelled!!!!

Result!!!!!!!!!

MadamedeChevreuse · 11/08/2016 11:28

helen re "small" freelance job. Remember...they lie!!!!!! They ALWAYS lie!!!!!

Sadly I fear dss1 will not be the answer to holiday child entertaining...19 year olds get bored of 6 year olds pretty quickly and escape down the pub with their dad

MadamedeChevreuse · 11/08/2016 11:29

I am now going to spend the next few days trying to get a cat for me ds. Going to see one this avo, yay!
