Afternoon. Walked 5 miles today of longdistancewalkproject. Had intended to walk 6.5, but there was public transport available at 5 miles, and it was too fecking hot. So I gave in gracefully, and negated all the good work with a frappucino on the way home. Need to get up from the sofa and make some dinner but I think my legs have stuck in position.

My DS is five foot dead on. I'm still advantaged by three whole inches...until maybe Christmas I reckon. MrM and I are not tall per se but have tall family so who knows where they could sprout to!

I don't recall when I was at high school any of the 5th year boys (Y11) having facial hair. Have seen loads of Y11s at DS1's school who have beards! I feel old. The times they are a-changin'.

Years ago someone told me that sons always grow to be taller than their mothers. Going off my immediate circle of family and friends, I haven't come across any exceptions.

That's interesting Fancy - I love when there's an exception to the rule . One of my mum's friends was very very tall, but all her sons ended up being even taller than her - that was sort of my benchmark. If she could have children even taller than she was, it must be true . DS1 is 5'11 and a bit. He delights in standing next to me and making out he can see over my head.

What was I thinking ? skipping waddling gaily into hospital 2 and a bit years ago, thinking how newborns sleep for hours and I'd just be bored stupid with all that time I my hands!
