"We're soldiers, Captain. We follow our orders wherever they may take us."

Well that's good to hear, Musketeers. Now on the floor & give me twenty.

Errrr, I mean - get your arses into gear & give us some promo. You've only got a MONTH. It's the final countdown wenches, let's do this!

Afternoon wenches.

Have ironed. Am melting.

I think DH is going to have to call in the UN Peacekeeping Force when DS1 is doing exams in Y10 and 11. He's only Y9 and we (me and DS1) are having ructions.

Badderz - step away from the curtains

I need HBFs to fan me and bring me iced Pimms.

Cinnamoncookie · 08/05/2016 16:35

Afternoon lovelies. It's clearly laundry day in the Tav; I got my summer clothes down from the loft yesterday. Technically they don't need washing as they were clean when I put them away, but they have been six-ish months in a box, so now the flat is covered with clean clothes. Cba to deal with them so am sitting on my arse with a tacky book and a G&T

Badders123 · 08/05/2016 16:42

Lovely laundry vibes Smile
I am watching horrible histories and awaiting chips for tea

I have been sitting in the garden with my book and a snuggly cat. It could only be improved by a hbf bringing me an icy cold v&t

FancyFancy · 08/05/2016 20:53

Yum - AT on the BAFTAs

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 08/05/2016 20:54

Today I have mostly been washing (as per Badders - just about anything washable in the house has been washed) or gardening or generally outdoors.

Grin

Still nice day - swallows, swifts and cuckoos; spring is here.

FancyFancy · 08/05/2016 21:38

The day's about to get better - here's Hidders Grin

MLGs · 09/05/2016 07:34

Morning wenches.

Hope all wenches had good weekends.

Thought for the day - do we think "sleeping with" is the most likely term to have been used, pretty much exclusively, by soldiers in 17th century France? As in "I cannot believe you slept with the queen" and " you could have done that by not sleeping with her". Sure there are more examples. Am willing to be told it is, of course.... (Sorry if that counts as plot).

LetUsPrey · 09/05/2016 07:54

Morning wenches.

No idea MoreLike like with so much in life

Saw Hidders at the BAFTAS. In my head "and a glass of champagne later" sounded very much like an invitation.

It's too hot and my hayfever is off the scale. Where are HBFs with fans and iced drinks when you need them?

Laterz wenches x

MLGs · 09/05/2016 07:56

Boring question, but can you get a rash with hayfever? DS keeps getting little rashes and the thing that helps most is piriton.

MLGs · 09/05/2016 07:57

Just because letus mentioned hayfever.

LetUsPrey · 09/05/2016 08:03

I've never had one from what I can remember but a quick Google says yes. Poor thing - hope the Piriton carries on working.

FancyFancy · 09/05/2016 08:19

Morning wenches

Thank goodness for Hidders last night, livening up the BAFTAs. And how could they have cut Dog like that? Shock

Hay fever is just an allergy, so getting rashes would make sense morelike. DD has hay fever at the moment & her eczema flared up a few weeks ago too. Mind you, that may be because of all the new toiletries she's been using, rather than the selection of hypoallergenic stuff we stuck to for years. But she doesn't want to hear that, so denies the possibility vigorously Grin
