I signed the referendum one, cos looks more kosher. Worried cos there are two petitions so the support is split...

I did both, although as you say, it's a shame two were started as it could split support. I also preferred the referendum one. Not least because the other one mentioned accountability being handed over to accountants, as if that's akin to putting Satan in charge of schools. I feel obliged to point out that the professional exams do not contain a paper titled "How to be a soulless profit obsessed cunt" and we do not hand in our morals in return for Institute membership.

In other news. Inconvenient Cat, having been vanished for much of yesterday afternoon and all night and not being shut in the shed or the greenhouse, or splatted on the road outside, has turned up safe and well in DH's car this morning Obviously he was not too traumatised because DH walked past the car several times yesterday whilst doing gardening things; I walked past it several times last night calling him, and he has a yowl on him that would call in the council noise abatement team when he wants attention.
Other livestock news - little grey chicken is looking v. sorry for herself, and the bees are deceased, they are ex-bees, they have gone to meet their maker etc etc (because they were too stupid to move across the hive to where they had stored their supplies)
