Morning....

OP posts:
ellesmum · 01/12/2006 22:50

yummy - i can imagine! me and dd are fine, hows youe dd? was her last shoot for littlewoods for their spring cat? they must really like your dd!

ellesmum · 01/12/2006 22:54

mistle - i would take some recent snap shots of your los and send them off to the top 4 agencies: kids london, bruce and brown, mot and urban angels. they are all free to join. each agency look for different types of looks.

ellesmum · 01/12/2006 22:55

some agencies take kids on just for their personalities and others take them on for their looks it depends. hope this helps!

mistletoemania · 01/12/2006 22:56

cheers ellesmum might just do that thanks.

yackertyyack · 01/12/2006 23:03

....bruce&brown and urban angels have just closed their books till march/april!

YummyMummy21 · 01/12/2006 23:05

Yea her last job was for them a little while ago for Spring/Summer nightwear, im guessing that this casting is prob for the Spring/Summer cat too but different dept.

All the castings/jobs have been in different locations though.
They must like to try out lots of different studios.

mistletoemania> I would definatly say that it helps if your LO's photogenic,ie. not scared of a camera, or flashes from lights.
They must also like to have their pic taken and beable to relax infront of the camera.

Also in modelling you have to meet lots of new people both children and adults so you LO must be comfortable with this aspect of the job too.

YOU must beable to drop things at the last minute or have someone (close relative/ friend) that can take you LO to castings or jobs at short notice and

Looks dont really count in modelling as different clients want different things.
If everything above sounds good then the next thing is to send pics to an agency and get your LO signed. I would recommened B&B, Kids London and Urban Angels.

Take Care

YummyMummy21 · 01/12/2006 23:50

Good Luck to your DS too.

Have you tried arnica cream use it for my DD if she get bruises and usually works in 3 days. Can get it from most chemists.

What time are you going? We are there at 11am, are you going to Kentish Town?

YummyMummy21 · 01/12/2006 23:53

Also im sure if he still has the bruise it will be fine, because for the last job DD did for them, she had a big scratch under her eye and when they were taking shots of her they were editing the scratch out as they were looking at the pics, so dont worry.

marymay · 01/12/2006 23:57

i will have to try and get some cream tomorrow at the moment it looks like he has got a black eye.
boys!!
we are not there till 4.so he will have to have a hour off school.ours it at kentish town as well.

YummyMummy21 · 02/12/2006 00:09

mysonsmummy · 02/12/2006 11:07

when ds did the shoot for woolworths last week he had a black eye - she put this bright red stuff on it and it covered it completely.

mythumbelinas · 02/12/2006 12:25

marymay and yummymummy, good luck with littlewoods casting
nannynickers, good luck to dd with JL!
Yackerty, hope ds gets confirmed for Persil. It's tough when there are so many kids, but best of luck

LM, that was a long shoot for ds, but at least it was a great one, and he did extra stuff .. and cover again! Sounds like he did a fab job and enjoyed it loads!!

christabel · 02/12/2006 15:46

Thought I would add this in case anyone looking to join another agency.
Not sure if anyone is registered with Star Now but saw an advert yesterday asking for young models so applied and they accepted my daughter but looked at website (it was Fine Kids) and they are in London. No charge if you have your own professional photos. We are in Yorkshire so too far for us as most of there work is in London.

xmasmomma · 02/12/2006 17:37

Hi Christabel
when i googled fine kids all i get is a fine kids in Brazil ! do you have their web site please. do they take kids from all over as well?

ellesmum · 02/12/2006 18:19

LsMama · 02/12/2006 21:29

xmasmomma when I googled to find same agency all I could find was www.4rfv.co.uk/brieflisting.asp?scategory=10&company=37404 read in other forums they're new.

christabel · 02/12/2006 23:04

Hi I think fine kids do take on from all over UK. They know we are in Yorkshire and said they would take on my DS but not sure what to do as they did say majority of work they get is in London.

xmasmomma · 02/12/2006 23:12

Thanks for that mumto2boys.
Hi christabel - do you have to go and see them for an assesment. may give them a ring on monday

Paddlechick666 · 03/12/2006 11:51

PC666

Tinkerbel5 · 03/12/2006 14:22

hello everyone, paddleduck keep your daughter plain but smart, no jewellery either, and keep hair bobbles or clips to the minimum, if she has long hair have it down, good luck
