Hi all. Just to let you know, Essbee is taking a bit of a break from MN, so you won't be seeing her for a bit.

I saw her this morning and will see her again soon, and will, of course, pass on any positive messages you'd like her to hear.

I was there to the bitter end too!

It was a ridiculous thread from beginning to end really!

I don't think people would really have that much of interest to say PT, if they knew who it was!

I don't know, Soapy - it was started with the very best of intention and it did get Pageturner to visit Essbee this morning.

Yes, it did get me to visit this morning. Essbee and I get together now and again, and the thread certainly got me there today rather than one day next week, which is a good thing, absolutely. I nearly missed it, too, as I was about to go to bed. I think, though, that more was revealed than should have been.

As so many people know noiw can somebody please just name and shame (or email me) these types of threads really reduce my productivity and I have a roof to keep over my childs head you know.

Erm, now I know I don't think naming and shaming is the way to go.

The poster has had a tough time herself, very tough, and I doubt she would have set out to deliberately upset. But some advice is badly timed and some things may be said without much thought.

Said without much thought, is certainly one way of putting it!

I started the thread last night, in the vain and rather misguided hope that it would help essbee, for numerous reasons. Largely because I felt too inadequate to support and help her on my own. I didnt take into account that folk might not say supportive things, but thats my mistake - not the posters mistake.

I apologised to essbee at the time. I dont see the point in people playing further guessing games because I honestly dont believe it serves any purpose for anyone to know (who wasnt there at the time).

So there you go.
