ellesmum · 27/11/2006 12:46

julie - have emailed u back!

Quadrophenia · 27/11/2006 12:47

Good luck Flamesparrow, glad you decided to take the plunge, keep us posted x

Little madam glad we didn't do duck tours then as we got wet enough as it was . Oxford Street does look really pretty, think I was more excited than the kids. Think the ad will be out in a couple of weeks, you knw the ones, christmas sale etc. What disney ads does your lo do, the TV ones are magical, a dream job i should imagine?

julie4travel · 27/11/2006 13:06

lm- i have only just gone down the thread to read you have 2 days on disney this week, superb hope that goes well for you. like the others have said probably a kids dream job! hope the licence is fine for you

does anyone know if there is a limit to licences in a year? we got them for the kids student film and are wondering if they were really needed or not. again a unpaid film and not in school time yet not sure if we had to have them?

Quadrophenia · 27/11/2006 13:13

I think you would Julie, school time or not, paid or unpaid, mainly due to protection I presume. don't think ther is a limit but i guess every authority could be different. hope you are feeling better x

mythumbelinas · 27/11/2006 13:13

oh, good luck to flamesparrow too!!

littlemadam · 27/11/2006 14:07

Quad, no ides what the Disney is, last time we did two days photos and a days filming for DVD, but no idea this! Not a TV ad tho, wish it was!!! A great job all the same, loads of toys everywhere!! We took some home too last time.
Will look out for the ad, be sure and let us know when its on!
Julie, hope you feel better soon, only consolation is its out the way before Christmas!

dylansluckymum · 27/11/2006 14:08

sorry to hear everyone's been so ill. i hope you have a happy birthday anyway julie! ds has had a cold for what seems like forever, you can't even tell during the day but he's so bunged up at night i worry that he can't breathe. vicks doesn't seem to help... not sure what else to do??

thorntons if you have pics of your dd electronically i'd love to see them!

good luck to everyone with castings and jobs this week. it looks like it's going to be a busy one! can't wait to see junior, i'm sure all your pics will be used!

ellismummy · 27/11/2006 14:11

happy birthday Julie.
I subscribed to junior a couple of weeks ago and im sure it said the next issue would be released or with me in the 7th dec?

Quad, we did the history museam on sat as after ua asessment as had my 5yr old ds with us, he loved it but it was really really busy.

good luck to everyone with castings and jobs this week hope they all go realy well

i also hve to refresh each page on cm.net so may not be your pc !

mythumbelinas · 27/11/2006 14:16

LM, just noticed the disneyland paris ad to the right and thought of you, then passed my curser through it and it sprinkles snow where it passes .. must be mad, but thought that was lovely !!!

Lolly68 · 27/11/2006 14:34

DLM - sorry to hear that baby not well. Have you tried Medised at night? Lydia had a cold a few weeks ago and she was very bunged up - gave her that and it worked a treat.

Flamesparrow · 27/11/2006 14:41

well that was handy to know - auto-reply from B&B saying their books are closed until March for anyone over 12 months, so I can cross them off DD's list for the time

Quadrophenia · 27/11/2006 14:42

hey Ellismummy, we were probably there at the same time, it was very busy thpugh we only had time to do dinosaurs and mammales but with four tired kids that was about as much as i could handle anyway!!

marymay · 27/11/2006 14:52

happy birthday julie.

good luck on everyones castings and jobs.

dylansluckymum · 27/11/2006 15:08

thanks lolly, i've never heard of it so i'll pop out to the pharmacy when dp gets home and have a look. it's so sad when he's having his bottle before bed and all i can hear is that horrible stuffed up sound.

flamesparrow i didn't realise b&b even closed their books. bit of a shame but hopefully kids london or mot will see your dd - they seem to get the same clients anyway!

Lolly68 · 27/11/2006 15:48

DLM - it is very good. The only thing is it has got an antihistamine in it which makes them quite sleepy hence why it is best at night! I also used Snufflebabe for her blocked nose.

mrsratty · 27/11/2006 16:01

Medised makes my girls really hyper and then they suddnely conk out. I poured the rest of the bottle down the sink!

littlemadam · 27/11/2006 16:10

Mythumbs, we're going to Disneyland Paris just before Christmas, some friends said it was fab!! Hope the weathers OK. Thought we might give them some money back, not that they need it, they've made bumper profits this year!

Think antihistamines affect children different ways, we had Phenergan for trips to Australia, ds conks, but our pharmacists son goes hyper!! Thaks goodness DS had the conking gene, though I did spend half the flight convinced I'd overdone it (even tho I gave a half dose) and trying to wake him up!! I do like Medised for snuffles tho.

Lolly68 · 27/11/2006 16:12

I just found it really helped her breathing at the time. With babies you only give the tiniest amount and I done it two nights in a row and her cold cleared up after that!

mrsratty · 27/11/2006 16:19

I think I was really unlucky because they get so wild when they have it especially the older one, she looks and acts posesed. Glad we didn't use it when we went to OZ or they would have asked if there was a priest on board!

OP posts:
ellesmum · 27/11/2006 16:21

hope all u poorly ones get better soon

went into whsmith in town to ask when the new junior was coming out and they said they had no idea! im sure when i asked at the shoot they said around the 9th december.

lindac - maybe its not my pc then i know the star of the week bit has gone so they maybe uloading things?

littlemaddam - have a great time in disney land, very envious!

littlemadam · 27/11/2006 16:26

I think the worst thing with babies is if they can't take a bottle because they can't breathe through their nose - has anyone tried the saline up the nose trick- could never get the hang of that!!!!

Mrsratty, we had a test run before the flight, just in case!! We are going back in March, and I think DD is going to be a nightmare!!

When I spoke to the bloke from Future publishing on the phone this morning he said it was out next week.

littlemadam · 27/11/2006 16:27

Thanks Ellesmum, we got the extra night free, and are getting really cheap flights, so it was good value (though will probably bring back half a ton of plastic!! )
