Glad things are getting sorted for you Zombie, I am sure the lift for the bath will come in very handy. Good news about the fluid around your heart, or should I say lack of ! What will the hospice nurse do, something like weekly visits or help with your apts ?

At this point the hospice nurse will just be another resource for me to call on when / if I need her.

I've had a quiet day with a long nap. I've just learned another friend is coming over tomorrow. I'm compiling a list for him. Men do come in handy from time to time.

I'm settling in for an evening of mindless telly. All is well.

We met a friend for her birthday lunch in a pub and then went for wine tea with other friends on the way home.

Best news for me today is that I can get on line through my new phone at the caravan we're staying in while work is done on our new house, yippee!

Today has been a Very Good Day.

A friend arrived at 11.00am. Between us (well, OK, mostly him) we had a very productive day. VAX filter thoroughly cleaned and VAX now works properly. Car washed and hoovered (Henryed). A bit of laundry. Litter trays cleaned. Trip to Harry Tuffins to pick up something for lunch. (I managed to cover the whole of Harry Tuffins twice without needing to stop and rest.) Kitchen, lounge, front hallway, stairs and guest bedroom Henryed.

My neighbour's son-in-law also came by to fix the ball cock in the downstairs loo.

Productive. Very productive.

I think I've earned an early night.

Earache / toothache has woken me up. Have taken paracetamol and morphine. Preparing hot water bottle to take back up to bed.

Oh god Zombie, how horrible for you, hope you managed to get to sleep. Both horrible pain to get. Orajel is good for relieving toothache if you can't get an apt to have it looked at. You certainly go through the mill don't you, lots of sympathy here for you. What a horrible end to your lovely day.

Your Sunday was more productive than, well, a month of my Sundays!!

As if you need a toothache/earache on top of everything else. Hope it was better today.

Today has been a Duvet Day.

Last night I came back downstairs and slept in my chair for a few hours as my ear / jaw was much more painful when lying down. Then I went back to bed for a few more hours. No pain at all when I got up. I pottered around for a few hours and then went for a (very long) nap.

I don't think it's an infection as I've been monitoring my temperature closely. I'm not sure what that leaves as a cause. All I know is that 10mg of oral morphine and 1gm of paracetamol did nothing to relieve the pain.

On a brighter note I rang for my blood results and they are normal. Tomorrow I'll make an appointment to see my GP to finalise my meds. I see my surgeon on Wednesday afternoon.

I'll have to see what tomorrow brings.

Glad to see that the pain eventually went away, it's a horrible agony isn't it. Happy to see that your blood result was fine. Was it a tooth causing the earache or the other way around? Hope today will be a good one for you.

It's been a Semi Productive Day.

Damned ear & jaw played up again last night so I dozed in my chair until about 4.00am before going up to bed. I then slept until nearly noon. A bit of tidying up, dishwasher loaded, run and emptied. (Mystery of the day - 2 cereal / soup bowls have gone AWOL.) A quick trip to Harry Tuffins. Steak and jacket potato for dinner. Oh, I also made an appointment to see my GP next Monday and an appointment to have my hair done next Wednesday.

I also bought my first bottle of whisky in 2 months. I think I've earned a wee dram.

I think you certainly have earned a bottle glass of whiskey, it may help you sleep. Bloody nuisance about your toothache / earache hope it doesn't come again tonight and that you manage a sleep all night in your bed. It will be lovely to have your hair done, it's my weekly treat to myself. You had two of my fav things for your dinner ! Love jacket spuds with , beans , bacon and cheese ! Take care and sleep well.

Sounds like you're doing really well Zomb in spite of ear/jaw, hope that buggers off soon.

Having your hair done will do you the world of good.

Have been mega stressed and have just returned from a desperately needed/perfectly timed few days in sunny France with my mum and siblings. Divorce papers finally sent to court and DH saving up to move out- wish I could press fast forward...

I've figured -as a teetotaller and soon to be broke divorcee- that the best things in life are friends and a positive attitude, both things that money cannot buy. I guess that's why we are all here with you Zombie
