married wish you all the luck in the world when you start your "new" life. I found things to be difficult when my ex and I split, lots of different emotional things. But it was for the best ( we are still friends) and we have both gone on to Re marry ( 27 yrs for me )
Zombie I do hope you had a whole night without any pain anywhere ! Did you demolish your whiskey ? Hope you are still taking things easy and not overdoing anything.
My ds just gone to A&E his foot went over on sat, and so when he got home I put ice pack on, anyway bruising has come out all down the side of his foot and ankle, but the pain has got worse. I kept saying for him to get it checked, but he thought I was just fussing, I think he may of broken something, anyway he has finally given in and his wife has taken him down.
It will be a blow as he has such a lot of work to still do on his house. ( that's why he is living at home ) the roof is nearly finished now.

Nothing broken thank god. He has to rest it and keep putting ice pack ( frozen peas ) on it and elevated.

yes thanks lin but DH is away a lot, baby's been teething and so is in velcro mode and I decided to get on with my hexagon "I-spy" quilt for the kids so i have hardly any time to chat.

I'll post a photo of this amazing quilt I saw last weekend though. made of over 13000 one inch squares and has the story of David quilted on it. it is amazing...gimme a sec

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 25/06/2015 17:33

And here it is, Michelangelo's David in "pixel art". This is the most amazing patchwork quilt I have ever seen.Enjoy Smile
last photo is a close up

mummylin2495 · 25/06/2015 19:14

Wow that's amazing, what a lot of thought and work has gone into that, I wonder how long that took to complete !
Anything happening on the home front ?

Hello Zombie. Hope all is going well and you're feeling better. No pesky tooth & jaw ache keeping you awake.

Now, I have a dilemma. To drink wine tonight, or not to drink wine. No work tomorrow, nice relaxing day off today as well. Nothing more strenuous planned tomorrow than a nice facial & massage after a generous lie in (up to three hours if I want!!!!), maybe lunch / cake in town. Off out for a couple of drinkies for my friend's birthday in the evening. Make up on and EVERYTHING!

So, WWTPD (what would the phalanx do)?

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 25/06/2015 20:43

Hah! You need to ask?

That's not a dilemmaGrin

Phalanx would facial, massage, lie in, lunch, cake, make up.

Drink wine.

Collapse into cave.

Send out for takeaway breakfast.

Request soothing harmonies from the ravine.

Collapse again, blissfully
Tick as appropriate.

iklboo · 25/06/2015 20:58

Wine is tonight. Facial, massage, mooch, drinkie poos is tomorrow. And yes, wine has been opened. The dilemma taken out of my hands by DH who went & poured me a large glass of red without me even mentioning it Smile

iklboo · 25/06/2015 20:59

I'm also off Saturday & Sunday (I usually work at least one on overtime). This could become The Lost Weekend Grin

IamtheZombie · 25/06/2015 21:56

Zombie did better than a lost weekend. She had a lost month in hospital. No booze but some good drugs...

Ear/jaw has mostly calmed down. It's very weird as it's only intermittent. I lived dangerously last night and went to bed without taking any pain relief. Not a single twinge during the night.

Dare I say this? Whisky tastes VERY strong now. It's not stopping me having a nip before bed though.

magimedi · 25/06/2015 22:05

Nip away, dearest Zombie, whisky is almost certainly better tha nmost other drugs!

Sleep well!

(((xxx)))

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 25/06/2015 22:49

Zing that quilt is stunning, where is it, have you seen it?

Glad you had a good break married FX for everything going as smoothly as it can.
Just KOKO Flowers

Really hope DS foot OK lin and doesn't slow him down too much.

iklboo your silence speaks volumes Grin

Love and Flowers Zombie

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 25/06/2015 23:38

I do realise we are dealing with very differing degrees of pain, but I've been gobbling paracetamol and codeine in varying combinations and they hardly take the edge off.
Two glasses of wine kicks it into touch, two more, what pain?

Does that tally with your first nip, and then a night without a twinge Z?

Think we may be on to something here Phalanx; whisky on prescription.

I'll start a petition Grin

iklboo · 26/06/2015 09:51

I was very civilised last night. Just two glasses of wine. Mainly because DH decided to break his diet / fitness / bodybuilding regime (last night of all nights) to join me in a couple of glasses.

I'll make up for it tonight. Persuade everyone to hit the gin joint Smile

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 26/06/2015 09:51

Bee it was exhibited at Sandown at the National Quilt Championship.
(yes, that's a thing!Grin )

and yes I took the photosWink

        • BREAKING NEWS * * * *

I have just had a blissful long soaky bath. It felt wonderful just to relax in the water. Mind, I won't be having another one until I get the bath / shower lift as getting back to a standing position was an interesting experience.

I am now going to write a shopping list and then hit the Ludlow Tesco. I may even have a Costa Vanilla Latte (with extra vanilla) while I'm there.

IamtheZombie · 27/06/2015 00:00

All goals for today have been accomplished.

I've really missed Costa. Smoked salmon & cream cheese sandwich, packet of crisps and Vanilla Latte went down a treat.

Tesco shop was also a success. I managed to get everything on my list except Raisin Bread. A number of impulse items also found their way into my trolley.

Craven Arms is on the agenda for tomorrow. I need to get a new screwdriver set as the Best Screwdriver in the World has somehow broken. I should also be able to source raisin bread in Harry Tuffins. A quick stop at the Magic Money Machine before heading home.

When I get home I will have a go at repairing the cutlery drawer. The front has come adrift on the right side. Some super glue and an angle brace should do the job.

Now dear friends I have a favour to ask. Please pester the hell out of me about my eating. My weight has dropped to 8 stone. I need to get back to 9 stone. Now that I'm mobile I have no excuse other than laziness for not eating 3 proper meals a day plus a snack or two.

I'll be heading off to bed soon so sleep well and sweet dreams to all.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 27/06/2015 07:28

sounds like a productive and lovely day ZombSmile , well done!

I have a few stones to get rid of and you are welcome to them anytimeGrin

I wonder how one can put on weight in a healthy way. I have a friend who is a nutritionist, I'll see if she has any useful tips.
have a lovely weekend, I hope you find the raisin bread you like!

iklboo · 27/06/2015 07:59

That sounds like a lovely day Zombie. Hope you manage to get your raisin bread.

Plan a nice breakfast, lunch or dinner every day that you'll really look forward to. That will help you to want to eat. Picture how it will look & taste - maybe something you've not had for ages.

magimedi · 27/06/2015 08:33

Lovely to hear about you having a normal day.

My father was a doctor & if any one was run down he recommended a small glass of port to be taken at 11am & 4pm!!! With a slice of cake or some cheese & biscuits. Don't know how that would fit in with driving!

You can gain extra calories by having full fat everything, so get the rich breakfast milk, creamy yogurts etc.

And you can have a stone from me, anytime!

mummylin2495 · 27/06/2015 20:51

Hi Zombie, how about getting some protein drinks to help you with your weight. I have always struggled to put any weight on, even though I eat a reasonable sized meal.
It is very easy sometimes to not bother to cook a proper meal when you are on your own, but I would say if possible make several meals at a time, one to eat and some to freeze. Or have more visitors, then you can cook for them if you feel up to it, pity I live too far away to come for dinner Grin
That must of felt like heaven when you had your bath ! I prefer a bath to a shower, but I must have bubble bath in it !
Well done you for all you achieved on your shopping trip. Have a restful day tomorrow, ( apart from cooking and eating ) !

Today turned out to be mostly a Duvet Day. (I must learn to stop making plans for the day after an active day.)

I did manage to roast a chicken and eat a large dinner. In between naps I also had breakfast (Weetabix with blueberries), lunch (sandwich and packet of crisps) and a couple of snacks (2 donuts and a blueberry muffin).

mummylin2495 · 28/06/2015 00:40

Glad that you had a duvet day as it does at least make you rest ! Your food intake sounds fine to me.have a good day tomorrow.
