Waiting For Zombie To Rejoin Her Phalanx

This is where we will wait for our leader to rejoin the DBF team !

I went for my echocardiogram today. Yet another department at the hospital where I feel a bit like a mascot as they know me so well. I didn't like the look of my heart trace. The sonographer reassured me that it wasn't something that worried or concerned her in any way. I was simply throwing ectopic beats. I trust her - she's done my echos a number of times including a couple of the emergency echos I had while in hospital.

On the bright side, I sorted out my scan appointments while I was at the hospital. I'm now having my CT scan tomorrow morning at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford. Shrewsbury have a 6+ week wait for a CT appointment. My MRI scan is next Wednesday, 23rd September at Shrewsbury. So all scans will be done before I go on holiday. YAY!!

That's all looking good for your holiday then Zombie, you can go away and just relax knowing that all your apts are up to date. Is that liver scan ?

The MRI is a liver scan, Mummy. The CT is thorax, adbomen and pelvis. That will pick up any lesions on my lungs or bones. (Hopefully there are none!) Once those scan results are in, we'll have a good picture of my current state of play.

I intend to very little other than relax on holiday. I'm loading up my Kindle Fire with lots of books. I'm soooo excited!!

I too hope there are none. Sounds a lovely restful time you will be having just lounging about in the sunshine reading. No cooking as someon else will be doing it , sounds great. Will be a lovely tonic for you

I've just started reading Death At La Fenice by Donna Leon. t was recommended by someone we met on holiday & I'm really enjoying it.It's not something I'd have picked myself so I was glad of the recommendation. Think I'll be downloading some more when I've finished this.

I've added another installment to my blog as well. Keeping occupied while I'm off again.

Oh Lin you have NO idea!!! We can laugh now but at the time it was like something out of Terry & June or something. There's a reason most of our furnishings are dark in colour

Well I think it sounds highly amusing and I can't wait for the next entry !

It's been a busy day.

The car had its annual service.

I had a delightful (and long overdue) double breakfast with a friend and the most gorgeous toddler in the world.

When I got home I:

Rang my travel insurers medical screening number. As expected none of my existing conditions (cancer, heart and respiratory) are covered.

Rang Sky and:

1. Reported my non-working land line. A line test identified it as an external fault so no hanging around for an engineer.

1. Sorted out my TV package.

I also ordered my holiday money online and will collect it on Tuesday.

I think it's wine o'clock.

Oh!! I forgot...

I also ordered all my prescriptions for the next month.

You have been a busy bee today Zombie, I think you deserve a bottle of wine. Not just a glassful. But at least you can relax knowing that you have sorted a lot ready for your holiday . Enjoy your

Wow you did have a busy day Zombie. I had some wine (and then some gin) watching the rugby. It was so exciting everything went down a little quickly. Ooooh, me head this morning!

It's another good day so far.

My landline has been fixed.

There are 2 loads of laundry on the line, another in the washing machine and one more waiting to go in.

The kitchen is slowly coming together.

Best of all - Dr. Who returns tonight!!!!!

Hallo all - I've been away in Turkey for a couple of weeks.

It was very hot! Coolest day was 35C & hottest was 41C !!!!!!!!!

Lovely holiday & to my great delight I discovered I can still do handstands underwater in the pool!!! Hadn't done them for more than 40 years so was very pleased in a childish way!! And doing them seems to have done wonders for my back - DH says it's becuase the loads have been reversed.

Zombie I am so pleased you are getting to go back to Kos - I remember you telling me about your special place. Bet you can't wait to go.

Zombie am so pleased you're having so many good days.

How did you like Dr Who, Zombie? It was an odd episode but I'm sure all will be clear next week.

The rugby has been good - Japan beating the Boks was amazing, a real upset. So much heart and spirit. It took the All Blacks a while to get going today as well!

ikl I have now read yet another of your amusing blokes, in fact I had missed one about the rugby so I had two to chuckle over. You certainly have a talent for writing.
