Thanks Lin - your kind words mean a lot. I'll be posting the Strictly Round Up on Sunday but Fed Blogs will have to be proxy by DH. I'm laid up with the wibbly wobblies again at the mo . I'll have to trust his brekkie judgement.

Afternoon Phalanx!

On Monday I had my pre-chemo bloods drawn and did a bit of shopping in Shrewsbury.

Yesterday I had my chemo. So far, so good on no side effects.

This morning I had my MRI. ikl, your description of the experience is the best I've ever heard! Mildly amusing anecdote:

At the end of the scan, one has to take a deep breath then exhale completely and not breathe in again for 30 seconds. This is repeated 3 times with only one inhalation and exhalation between each 30 seconds of not breathing. Then one rests for 3 minutes before a final in, out and hold. During those 3 minutes the radio station started playing "Every move you make, every breath you take ... I'll be watching you".

Highly appropriate!

Sadly no MaccyD breakfasts this week. They're renovating the one on my way to the hospital.

In between all of the above I've done more laundry and housework.

No more medical appointments until after holiday!!

Only three sleeps until holiday!

Have just had a look at a couple of Kos forecasts & it looks like clear & 28/29 for the next ten days or so, which to me is perfect temperature.

Really hope the side effects stay away.

And nothing interferes with the peace and tranquility you deserve for your holiday.

I'm off for a long awaited break in France tomorrow, with the usual wifi wobbles.

Will salute phalanx when I can.

And so it's time time to say farewell, dear friends. I'm not allowing myself to turn on the laptop in the morning lest I end up in a last minute flap chucking my cases into the car becaused I lost track of time faffing around on the internet.

I also plan to stay off the internet for the entire week so don't panic if I don't post. I've even told my house/cat sitter that I don't want to know about any problems until I'm back.

I have a well stocked Kindle and half a dozen puzzle books. I shall sit or lie in the shade by the pool enjoying the warmth and quietly amusing myself.

Have a wonderful time dear Zombie with absolutely lashings of retsina and ouzo and raki, and total mounds of baklawa, not to mention cheese fritters with honey, and cheese and spinach pie, and aubergine fritters, and roast lamb with rosemary, and egg and lemon soup........

I could go on, but I will go and eat a walnut baklawa instead.

I don't like Jamelia or Ainsley I'm afraid, she talks a lot of rubbish and he is too full of himself for me ! Couple of them I don't know at all !

How long does it take you to write something like that ?

Yay for the Real Lin!!! Glad to see your usual moniker back. It usually takes me about an hour or so to write a piece like that. With the Strictly ones I take notes as I'm watching then fill in the gaps the next day. I sort of half compose it in my head before I start typing, if you know what I mean?

Well you do it beautifully, have you done this sort of thing before ?
