Yup, lin and I have decreed, pencil in celebrations for early August when ikl gets official job offer.

It is surprisingly cosy actually, v. windy, my plants aren't happy. Have checked and our house is very sheltered.

I see my oncologist today and have to confess to feeling a bit apprehensive about what she will tell me. On the other hand at least I will know what's coming next. And, yes, I do plan to have a MaccyD breakfast first.

In a Statement of Interest you have to say why you want the job (don't say 'more money' ) and why you'd be good at it. It's a bit like a Tory manifesto - full of bull & bollocks

10:20 - Sit down to a MaccyD breakfast
11:00 - Sit down with a Costa Medium Vanilla Latte with extra Vanilla
12:00 - Arrive for appointment with oncologist
12:05 - Called in to see Dr. Best (Yes, that really is his name! He's one of Dr. P's senior registrar - very nice, very thorough and very clued up.)
13:00 - Purchase yet more cat food and litter at Pets at Home
13:20 - Begin shuffling around Sainsburys (Impulse buys of clothes and a cookbook in addition to the food I went in for.)
15:30 - Arrive home; put shopping away; put 2nd load of laundry on and pegged out first load.
17:00 - Sit down and RELAX

The results of my echocardiogram and spirometry were OK. I will therefore re-start taking Kadcyla at a reduced dose ASAP. Chemo Day Centre will contact me with a date for next treatment. I'll be reviewed after 1 cycle and have CT scan and MRI after 2nd cycle. Dr. Best will chase up Cardiology referral (as I've not heard a peep from them). I told him that my blood pressure and heart rate are still all over the place. It's a bit weird as I don't feel any different whether it's normal or really low. I won't be going back to the QE Hospital in Birmingham until I've done at least a couple of Kadcyla cycles and have got stronger. So, at long last I have A PLAN.

I hope that your treatments will work out timing wise so that you are feeling relatively well when your DS visits. But I'm Sure just by him being here , you will feel on top of the world. My plans for tomorrow have changed. Instead of offering the AGA service chap a tea or coffee and then watching him tend to my AGA I will be attending the Chemo Day Centre at 08:45 to restart my treatment with Kadcyla. It will be a bit of a long day as they will need to draw blood when I arrive and then wait for the results. I also need to have another loading dose which takes quite a bit more time. Let's get those 'no nasty reactions requiring admission to hospital' vibes going.

AGA service has been rescheduled for Friday.
