I've found you!

So pleased that you're out of hospital, there is nothing like your own bed

My DS left for Canada this morning with work for at least 4 months .. I didn't cry at gatwick, I really didn't cry .. Well maybe a bit when I got back in the car .. I'll miss him like mad but extremely proud, he's only 23 so what a brilliant opportunity / experience for him.

BUT he and his business partner were upgraded to business class .. In all our years of travelling we have never been bumped up .. Harrumph .. Lovely start to their trip though!

Keep well my dear x

Wolfiefan · 02/07/2015 19:31

Surely the mug should read zombie queen of everything?

iklboo · 02/07/2015 19:47

Zombie - Queen of The Damn Bugger Fuck Phalanx. And everything fucking else! Grin

mummylin2495 · 03/07/2015 09:42

Def queen of the phalanx !
Zombie, hope you are feeling ok and not too tired. Glad you are enjoying the summery weather, another nice day for you to enjoy today, it's already nice down here in the South. Have you got your thinner needles yet ?
Phalanx, hope you all have a lovely day today, time to relax in the sunshine.
BBB, do you feel like you are on holiday in your caravan ? When my kids were young and we had no money hardly we used to travel just about ten miles away to a big caravan park and holiday there, the whole family would go , we used to have about seven caravans, they were amongst the nicest holidays we had ! It was such a happy time. We would all just wander into each other's vans and all go the the club house in the evenings, oh it was lovely. But the caravans theses days I think are fab and I actually wouldn't mind doing that again at some time !

cavkc I've done that so many times, other parents in floods and I'm all jolly and positive, and really meaning it.
Then they go through security, and wave, and walk away, then I'm in absolute bits!
Turning left is a really good start, he'll be feeling on top of the world when he lands.

lin I do absolutely feel like I'm on holiday! And weird deja vu coming back to where we used to live; it's familiar but all slightly different.

I've never stayed in a caravan before, have never warmed to camping either

Your holidays sound wonderful. I have to say though, with family all so close and loving and easy going, it wouldn't matter where you all were, you'd have a great time.

mummylin2495 · 04/07/2015 02:06

Yes it was fun back then BBB. Just had the most massive storm I have even seen, bloody water pissing into our conservatory, very strong wind, thunder, lightening and big hail stones ! The trees were literally swaying and the rain was swirling in the road. It's moved on somewhere else now thank god.
Caravans are cosy !

OP posts:
mummylin2495 · 04/07/2015 02:08

And I would never go camping either, the thought of sleeping in a tent horrifies me, I need a bed !! I would always be worried a snake would get in !!

OP posts:
BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 04/07/2015 02:27

I'll make sure we're really battened down then, we usually get what you've had I think.

I don't mind sleeping in a tent.

I do mind scrabbling around in the dark to find a loo/scrabbling around in the morning feeling like crap having to share facilities with other campers.
The fucking jollier they are, the more I hate it.

You may think I speak from experience, I don't, have vivid imagination Grin

mummylin2495 · 06/07/2015 11:57

Hi Zombie, hope you have had a good weekend and you didn't sustain any damage in the storm, was quite something to watch wasnt it. We had a couple of leakages into our conservatory, but it's a minor thing when others have so much more to worry about. Although it was annoying for us.
Are you gradually getting some strength back now ? How is your eating going. I hope you are managing to eat plenty. But I think sometimes it's difficult when you have to cook for just one I know when my dh has been away I will settle for a snack rather than cook a meal just for myself .
BBB hope your "holiday home" kept you safe on Friday night. With the rain beating down it must of sounded so loud.

popping in to give big hugs to live up to my role as Chief of Best Hugs of The Phalanx
Grin

hope everyone is well, gotta run. lots of love, big hugs to all, darling Zombie I hope you are doing well.

(hugs)

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/07/2015 19:38

Quick but effective Zing, I feel well and truly hugged Flowers

It's great lin it's not trad. caravan construction, made of 10 inch thick insulated panels - roof, floor and walls.
Feels very solid and with two whole, sliding glass walls in sitting room it's like being outside.
I really love it!

Hope you're getting stronger Z and eating well.
How are your new meds cocktails and delivery systems working?

mummylin2495 · 06/07/2015 21:06

It sounds lovely BBB. How long will you be staying in it do you think ?

OP posts:
BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 06/07/2015 23:48

Very, very good question lin.

Six months.

Ish Grin

iklboo · 07/07/2015 07:17

Is Kevin McCloud going to keep popping in to check up on how it's going? Don't let him in. Someone always gets pregnant!!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/07/2015 18:37
Grin

Could ask him round I suppose, he is a close friend of an old friend of DH.

He's welcome to try for a miracle should he be so inclined Shock

No, too small and not exotic enough (the house, not Kevin)

iklboo · 07/07/2015 19:19

Nooooooo. You know the god that is Kevin McCloud?? I flippin LOVE Kevin McCloud. Shock

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 07/07/2015 23:32

No, I don't know him, I know someone who does Grin, I haven't met him.

I like him but would not be able to resist taking the piss, this may explain why we haven't met.

Am sure he would survive.

And you said don't let him in [gasp]

mummylin2495 · 09/07/2015 14:55

I hope that you are all looking forward to a really hot day ( supposedly) tomorrow. I do not intend to do anything but go to the local cafe with a couple of my siblings and my niece, for a late breakfast which is a normal fri morning event. After that it will be sitting under a tree in the garden if it's that hot
Zombie hope this last week has been a good one for you. Are you managing to put any weight on with your extra eating ?

OP posts:
IamtheZombie · 10/07/2015 16:14

What a gorgeous day! It will be even better if Andy makes it through to the final.

Mummy, I find putting weight on a LOT harder than losing it. I feel like I'm running just to stand still.

I chased up the appointment with my oncologist. Lovely, helpful lady on the booking desk has managed to get me in for next Friday (17/07) at 12 noon. I also booked a service for my AGA. It desperately needs one. That's on Tuesday, 21/07.

Oh, and ZombieLad has booked his flights. SQUEEEEE!!!

Wolfiefan · 10/07/2015 16:19

Great news about ZL!
With regards to the weight you are doing it wrong if you are running! Think like a zombiecat! Lots of lazing about and preferably someone else feeding you!!
I would personally prescribe mint magnums. Perhaps something high calorie to nibble on. Nuts? Dried fruit? Coconut?

mummylin2495 · 10/07/2015 17:00

Fab news about your DS Zombie. What a wonderful time to look forward to. You must be beside yourself with excitement !
What is the apt with oncologist for, is it to discuss the op ? I hope so.
I too can't put any weight on, I am a little dainty person, who can swear like a fishwife when I need to !
Enjoy the weekend.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 10/07/2015 21:37

Oh, Oh, Oh, I'm beside myself with excitement, never mind Z!

Is it August Zombie?

Is he coming on his own?

How long for?

Donuts darlings, you need lots of donuts to fill you out. Shall I arrange deliveries to all the caves?

Washed down with whisky Wink

PS. lin I think I love you Grin

PPS. I have an Aga free to a good home. Really.

magimedi · 10/07/2015 21:55

Oh, such exciting news!!

Should the phalanx be gathered at Heathrow to welcome ZLad in??

IamtheZombie · 10/07/2015 23:13

Wolfie, Mint Magnums... Yum.

Mummy, no; there are other things to do first. If my echocardiogram and spirometry results are OK she wants to re-start the Kadcyla at a reduced dosage first. If I tolerate that she will then write to the liver team at the QE to let them know I'm ready to be re-assessed for the operation. Only then will the process for the operation re-start. Even if all goes well, I doubt the op will take place until September / October.

Bee, Yes, Yes, a fortnight, Krispy Kreme original glazed pleased.

magi, thank you for your very kind offer but I must decline. I'm selfish and want him all to myself.

ZingDramaQueenOfSheeba · 11/07/2015 05:18

aaww mama tiger - I bet you can't wait to get your paws on him!Smile
Has he been to UK before?

Bee chuck me some donuts please, I like the tiny ones with vanilla icing sugar or big jam ones.
