Hi Phalanx Flowers

Just back from fabulous wedding in Harrogate. Traffic was horrendous, it took hours longer than it should have.

That all sounds like good progress Zombie, although I sympathise with being beached in the bath, giggling doesn't help does it?Grin

Handfuls of nuts are good snacking options, and what a great excuse to indulge yourself on lovely rich cheeses with oatcakes and olives.
Ooh and salami and that gorgeous Iberica ham.
You could go and look at BIWI's low carb threads and whatever they say, do the opposite!
Would feel nicely subversive too Grin

We move into static caravan on Wednesday and finally out of this house on the 7th July, eek!

mummylin2495 · 28/06/2015 20:45

Why are you moving to a caravan BBB. Is it a temporary thing or permanent ? Glad you enjoyed the wedding.
Zombie hope you have had a good food intake today and that you have managed a bit of a rest too. How is your whiskey stock holding out, or has it all gone !

OP posts:
BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/06/2015 10:17

It is most definitely temporary lin! About 6 months though.
It's a very nice, very modern caravan, but rather small Grin, a challenge certainly, but has nice views and is next door to the new house so we can keep a close eye on the renovation.

mummylin2495 · 29/06/2015 10:36

Ah I see, same reason that I have my ds and gs here ! Hope everything goes well with your new house, after 6 months you will be dying to get In your house, but it will all be worth it I'm sure. My house has now become like paddington station with my dil coming round every evening, my gs,s mates popping in and people coming to see ds !! One good thing though is that my gs s girlfriend cleaned my conservatory windows for me the other day, that was a bonus Grin

I had a successful visit to my GP. He's increased my digoxin to 187.5mg as the blood test showed my level was a bit low. New size Tinzaparin syringes are on order. I discussed the ear / jaw pain and we decided it's probably a blocked eustacian tube intermittently putting pressure on a nerve. He's prescribed a nasal spray to try and help clear it. He tried to have a look at my echocardiogram results but they aren't on the hospital system yet. (That no doubt explains why I've not heard from my oncologist.)

Breakfast was 2 weetabix with blueberries. I also had a blueberry muffin for dessert. For lunch I have my eye on a couple of scotch eggs lurking in my fridge.

mummylin2495 · 29/06/2015 12:39

Glad your doc apt was a good one. Have you still got the pain in your jaw or has it gone now ? Will be a bit better having a thinner needle, do you bruise at all with them ? Your menu so far today sounds good ! In this instance I can say without being rude " go stuff yourself " Grin

Zombie

for ear pain warm/hot compress can do wonders, a hot water bottle will do.
I had terrible ear infections a child (sinuses syringed a few times and ears so many times I lost count) and remember the hot compress always making me feel better.

glad your appointment went well. sorry I'm not posting much, but I think of you often.Smile
big hugs my lovely

iklboo · 29/06/2015 17:09

I read that as 'a couple of scotches in the fridge' Smile

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/06/2015 19:18

lin! Shock

Did you mean to sound so rude?

Grin

One track mind ikl?

not me

Wolfiefan · 29/06/2015 19:22

Yum blueberries! Scoff away lovely Zombie!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/06/2015 19:50

Sorry Z missed your post, can't get a grip on yours not being highlighted.

I hope the spray works to ease your ear/jaw pain, not very condusive to eating I imagine.

You missed out elevenses and afternoon tea! And a nice risotto with your leftover chicken for supper?

I'm going for Top Pesterer Medal Grin

mummylin2495 · 29/06/2015 19:58

No not intending to be rude , just expressing Zombies need to eat and eat ! I'm starving myself at the moment, waiting until we are altogether before I cook. Can't be doing meals at all different times !

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 29/06/2015 22:25

Aw lin I was joking, it was very funny Flowers

I hope they all wait on you hand and foot sometimes.

mummylin2495 · 29/06/2015 23:22

Not a lot of chance of that ! I'm sure I have never had so much bloody washing either ! Not even when my kids were small. Gs seems to think that if he wears something for an hour or two he then has to change ! Luckily he does his own ironing. And my towels keep disappearing from the bathroom, that's because gs has taken them to the gym, even though he knows where all the other towels are kept. But apart from that he is a lovely human being and I love him , he came along a year after my sister died and him being here helped me such a lot as I then left work to look after him so his mum could work. We are very very close and I am very lucky to have him and his cousins ( my dd,s daughters )

magimedi · 30/06/2015 09:14

Keep up the eating, Zombie.

BBB - will you be wher I think you'll be - all holylike?? If so, must meet for a Wine sometime.

mummylin2495 · 30/06/2015 12:02

Are you both planning to go to a nunnery ? I would be a terrible one and never be able to be silent if that was the rules, kicked out in the first day, that would be me. I also have some bad habits ! Get it ? Grin
Hope you are all managing to keep cool, I went and sat under a tree in the garden, but had to come in, even that was too hot for me. I have a big hat somewhere from Portugal , but god knows where it is now.

OP posts:
magimedi · 30/06/2015 17:23

Gawd, no nunnery for me!! And I don't think they'd have BBB in one, either!!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 30/06/2015 18:44

I will be where you think I'll be magi and I will be needing lots of Wine, as long as you can stand a bit of ranting Grin, I'll buy you lunch.

Yes lin we are both taking holy orders which require lots of glugging and a fuck ton of swearing.

I could go on but don't want to risk offending anyone. Hope I haven't already.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 30/06/2015 18:49

oops, didn't refresh before I posted.

mummylin2495 · 30/06/2015 19:04

Ooh I like the swearing bit ! I have to admit I swear a lot, but I like all the words !
My brother bought me a mug for Xmas which says " queen of fucking everything " of course he is right Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 01/07/2015 21:10

We are a Phalanx of Queens!

And we are successfully settled in the caravan, it's very cute.

There is concealed pink lighting and the tap has a light which changes colour depending on how hot the water is!

Have been drenched all day due to heat, but removal blokes were faultless.

Sun is setting and it's getting very breezy now.

Hope you've been comfortable Zombie and are scoffing yourself silly Grin
I bet ZCats don't like this heat, poor things. Can you imagine being furry at the moment Shock

mummylin2495 · 01/07/2015 22:50

Especially for Zing !

I collected a rather large bag of meds from my GP's practice this morning. Then I had my hair done.

Home to watch a few hours of tennis, nap, more telly and dinner.

I'm absolutely LOVING the warm weather. It's not what I would consider a heatwave. In fact I think it's just about perfect.

I've no plans for tomorrow. Maybe I'll do some housework. Or maybe I'll just watch more tennis. I'll sleep on my decision. Wink

I'd like a Zombie of Fucking Everything mug. Or t-shirt.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 02/07/2015 00:11

You is a tropical flower Zomb, very glad to hear you're enjoying it all.

You're sounding wonderfully mellow and relaxed hope you're getting the dose right on the new meds Grin

Flowers

Can't be many weeks now till you-know-who arrives.
