oh this is a good thread.

Thanks everyone

Agree cod (not that I would know about big norks) - but if you have black knicks and a black bra, etc rather than different colours, it does make you feel better.

munz · 09/11/2006 13:36

how's everyone doing today - 2 days running now i've moisterised and also applied make up/fumes. DH thinks there's something fishy going on! lol.

Quootiepie · 09/11/2006 13:38

pants. im sitting here nodding at it all, but not put into practise yet!

MeImAllSmiles · 09/11/2006 14:34

Lizzylou, what's the name of the Holland and Barratt moisturiser, sounds great.

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 09/11/2006 17:18

im so pleased that others are feeling better because of all this.

I know i have come accross as a complete bint who knows nothing, but i guess thats what i get for being a young mum to 2 with a 15 month age gap - I just let myself go, worrying too much about the house and the girls and not enough about myself.

I really have appreciated all the help you lot have given me over the last few days.... it has made the world of difference in how i feel about myself and how little it takes to make a difference.

Thank you thank you thank you - but i still need a cardi from next!!!

misdee · 09/11/2006 17:20

i also did my make up again this morning.

i need to get a waterproof mascara and new tinted moisteriser though. might have a peer at the lip glosses as well in boots tomorrow.

great thread and good advice!
i'm going out for a meal on saturday evening (first time out since DS was born!), so will have a day shopping for clothes and make up tomorrow and then a nice pamper session in the evening!

danceswithmonkeys · 09/11/2006 17:29

Good point about expensive bras and matching knickers Cod, I will fork out for a decent bra but draw the line at paying £35 for ONE pair of matching knickers. If anyone lives near bluewater there is a great lingerie shop there called LEIA, ladies in there are so helpful and they have great sales. I look a size smaller when my norks are boosted up, gives me a waist I forgot I had! (still not a patch on the pre children one though )

I find if I'm wearing colour I feel more vibrant myself. After I had ds I had a major wobble in confidence (for lots of reasons) I had some therapy, started to rebuild myself and at the same time my wardrobe which I realised was about 75% black. OUT WITH THE BLACK GIRLS....you're not hiding weight, you're hiding yourselves!

munz · 09/11/2006 19:35

dances that's a nice thought.

really must buy matching undies - but then DH will think there's somehting up! lol.

MeImAllSmiles · 10/11/2006 17:40

Lizzylou, come on, spill the beans about the cream.

nailpolish · 10/11/2006 17:42

jarm i said to you before - realistically i think 2 years after giving birth is time enough to get yourself back

misdee · 10/11/2006 17:44

get yourself to boots. they have a special opffer on ,spend £15 on boots no7 range (i got clenser toner and moisteriser today) and get a make up bag with goodies in like lip gloss, nail varnish, lipstick, lip liner, day cream and a few other bits.

Gingerbear · 10/11/2006 17:45

Jarm, did you get my email re the stuff?

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 11/11/2006 07:36
