Quootiepie · 07/11/2006 16:43

who WHO can apply fake tan without looking streaky?

Leave your tips on this thread for that!

nailpolish · 07/11/2006 16:44

moi

MrsBadger · 07/11/2006 16:44

yes petite
Next do the shortest trousers

Go carefully with the bright colours (but agree 'No Black If You Can Help It' makes the rubbishest days less rubbish as one looks less haggard for no effort)

contacts if u can go with those?

Blossomhill · 07/11/2006 16:49

I must be the biggest minger alive then!

Wash hair every 3-4 days

I find a spray of dry shampoo keeps it fresh.

My hair is quite long though and as I am at the gym a lot can't be arsed to do it and then get sweaty!

buy a fab, fab norkular enhancing bra- get measured by those naice laydeez in Debenhams and try them on. Makes a huge difference to your figure - I am 5'2" and also 16-18 (with a 12 week PG belly too atm)

There are some fab cheap tops in H&M that show off norks and have 'rippled' double layer fabic at the front to hide not so perfect tum.

I wash my hair every night, and then spray it wet in morning and blow dry it LOL. I can't wash it in morning as I have no shower.

Since xp left I have really tried to make an effort. I have chucked out alot of awful clothes (gave to charity not binned) because I knew that if I still had them, I would wear them.

I now try and buy one top a week and price limit is £5. If i'm lucky and it only costs £3 then I might get a bracelet to go with it or something.
For example, I got a green vest top to go under a black v-neck jumper on saturday £3, and then got a green belt to with for £1 in a bargain box by the till.
Ok so it's all cheap stuff but I don't care, it looks nice and I feel nice in it.

I also forced myself to get my hair cut shorter to stop myself tying it back in a pony every day. Now I have to do it properly every morning, and it looks so much better.

Gingerbear · 07/11/2006 17:02

chocolate brown trousers and turquoise/teal tops are fab combination., along with lots of ethnic silver/turq jewels (H&M again)

A new H&M has opened up near me - I love the place atm.

Gingerbear · 07/11/2006 17:04

If all else fails, hair and make-up first thing, with some perfume and a necklace or nice earrings make a world of difference to how you feel.
A decent haircut and colour always makes me feel a $million.

i need to get my hair done, and get some new winter tops. am looking very frumpy atm

i have the klit to do my hair (£4.99), home hairdresser will restyle my hair and do the streaking(oh aiii) for me.

but that just leaves clothes. and a new winter jacket.

am a size 22, dont want to spend too much as am losing weight slowly due to diet change.

munz · 07/11/2006 17:05

I think the winter doesn't help in making me feel frumpy

Gingerbear · 07/11/2006 17:05

sorry, Dior

Also, if you slob around in slippers or trainers all day, buy a really funky new pair and ditch the old ones.

misdee · 07/11/2006 17:06

Quootiepie, in the summer get the mitts for applyiong fake tan from marks and spencer. they are great!

Gingerbear · 07/11/2006 17:09

Jarm, if you are short of money at the moment, let me know your colouring, likes/dislikes, sizes etc and I will have a look through some stuff - I have 16/18s too, and some short arse trousers

jampots · 07/11/2006 17:09

I have colour co-ordinated my wardrobe so all colours are grouped together, admittedly mostly black or white with some blues and reds. I always wash hair at night and then just straighten it in the morning. Always wear lipsyl as it coats my lips with a slight sheen and not gloss like vaseline (that said I do keep vaseline in my handbag). Always wear moisuriser and always always put eye cream on at night! Rinse hair in cold water for max gloss.

and change your pants every day!

jampots · 07/11/2006 17:10

misdee you have the klit?

Quootiepie · 07/11/2006 17:10

Yep, change your pants everyday for abit of glamour

misdee · 07/11/2006 17:13

Gingerbear · 07/11/2006 17:14

Gingerbear · 07/11/2006 17:15
