Oh good grief, I hope they were mortified!

Glad you seem to be feeling a bit better.

iklboo · 31/01/2015 23:25

Oh crivens Zombie! I hope they were suitably apologetic.

IamtheZombie · 01/02/2015 01:54

I found it highly amusing. Obviously when I had last year's mammogram the "system" automatically put me down for one this year. Grin

I just got thatBlush

(I swear I don't work as mammogram invite senders)

what a cheerful soul you are Zombie to not get upset about itSmile

sometimes it really is best just to smile and roll eyes and then smile some more.
like when your GP assumes you're pg (because you complain about the room being too bloody hot!) despite your 6 months old sitting on your lap and when you say "umm, no I'm not" she floors you with "oh, you just haven't lost your baby belly yet"
Shock Shock Grin Grin

(sorry, didn't mean to turn it back on to me but I thought you'd find that little gem amusingWink )

After having my appendix out about 15 years ago the consultant came on ward rounds to check my scar.

She sneeringly said 'My, you are plump aren't you'.

I replied 'No-one's going to mistake you for Kate Moss either sweetheart'.

I TOLD y'all I'm not a good patient.

Hope today finds you in fine fettle Zombie. I'm abed with toasted teacakes & tassimo latte, thanks to DH & DS. I am attempting to crochet squares for a naice abomination throw for the bottom of the bed.

ZingTheGreat · 01/02/2015 11:00

ikl

yay for crochet! I've just started making a granny stripe blanket out of the most deliciously soft chunky yarn (Garland by King Cole)
And as I couldn't sleep last night I thought I'd attempt to create a cheerful little dolphin (for another project) but it looks like an undernourished, lanky, startled sharkConfused
maybe it doesn't like being purple?Grin

Happy February everyone!Smile

PeaceOfWildThings · 01/02/2015 11:30

Yay for crochet from me too! I'm trying to make some socks for a birthday present for DD...just tried on her feet and she doesn't like the pointy toes so these are going to get frogged now and I'll have to start again.

PeaceOfWildThings · 01/02/2015 11:35

Glad you could take the mamogram appointment in good humour, Zombie. Grin

Very glad to hear your sleep is improving too and that the ADs are showing promise.

magimedi · 01/02/2015 14:06

Always lovely to hear from you, Zombie & glad to hear the ads are doing something.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 01/02/2015 23:19

Off to Portugal tomorrow, will pop in when I can.

iklboo · 01/02/2015 23:29

I'm envious B3. Have a jolly time.

PeaceOfWildThings · 01/02/2015 23:37

Safe travels, B3! (teach us some Portuguese.Smile)

Al the best for the CT scan tomorrow evening, Zombie.

Allalonenow · 02/02/2015 14:22

Safe journey B3
(I love those custard filled buns they have for breakfast, but not so keen on the salt cod and cabbage)

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 04/02/2015 23:23

Thanks for good wishes Flowers

We're here because DD1 had to have a rather large lump removed from her groin area. Biopsy had told us it was benign, but still major surgery.

Successful removal on Tuesday early morning, we brought her home this afternoon and are all learning what helps and what doesn't. She must do nothing for minimum 2 weeks - that's my job! Have DH here now, then DD2, then godmother next week as back up team.

Stern and stoic is the order of the day please, or I'll be in bits.

Hope the wood is lasting well for the promontory fires.

Sunny and warm here haha!

iklboo · 04/02/2015 23:27

Hugs to little B3, virtual gin & chocs to you and the rest of the gang. Hope all goes well and your DD is up and around soon. Enjoy the weather! Smile

iklboo · 04/02/2015 23:28

Do they have Nando's in Portugal??? ??

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 04/02/2015 23:41

Flowers iklboo

Have seen McDonalds and Burger King but not Nando's Grin
Is it a particular favourite of yours?

iklboo · 04/02/2015 23:45

No I'm a wimp. But it's championed as 'Portuguese' type food by BIL3. It's alright....the custard buns ARE amazing though. Smile

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 05/02/2015 00:02

The custard buns are delish, as are the custard tarts and most of the cakes , DD's MIL makes an almond tart to die for Grin

Agree with you about the salt cod and cabbage! MIL makes a lot of that too !

Allalonenow · 05/02/2015 00:26

Not long after ExP had fucked off with a Portugese doxy, he came to see to see me to moan about the "Worst Christmas of his Entire Life" spent with said doxy and her mother....apparently salt cod and cabbage was a major feature Grin... Elicited negligible sympathy from me natch....

B3 All best wishes to your DD for a speedy recovery, what a worry for you. FWIW I think you sound as though you will be a super Florence Nightingale, but sending you Wine and Cake to help you anyway.

Allalonenow · 05/02/2015 00:36

Zombie How are you getting on this week? Hope your various appointments are giving you some positive directions. Have you managed to get your favourite breakfast en route to any of them?
How is ZombieLad doing, was he caught up in the heavy snowstorm of a few days ago?
Sending you big hugs and Thanks

Zing Hope you and BabyZing have both recovered from your nasty colds.

magimedi · 05/02/2015 08:43

How's things, Zombie? Hope you aren't snowed in. No snow here, thank heavens, but cold & grey (a bit like me).

BBB - I am not jealous at all of sun & warmth. Hope your DD gets better asap.

iklboo · 05/02/2015 13:21

Day two million and four in the 'whose big idea was it to crochet a blanket' house. Squares completed - 50. Halfway there (it's a compromise 'across the bottom of the bed' blanket). Delivery of new wool, crochet hooks and 'Learn to Crochet' book taken. We're running out of room in current bag to store squares. Will need to resort to Lidl Bag For Life soon. Send Haribo. And cake.

Labyrinthitis still pain in (metaphorical) arse.

Squidgy hugs n shizzle to #Team DBF and the irrepressible Zombie.

Allalonenow · 05/02/2015 13:30

Sorry to hear you are still poorly iklboo, it must be horrid for you, have lots of Cake Cake

PeaceOfWildThings · 05/02/2015 14:16

Hope all going well in the cozy Zombie cave.
