Ooh, he's quite a wit isn't he iklboo

Names, names, come on Phalanx ...

I did try cognac and Nutella too, was v.delish but didn't melt quite as satisfactorily Smile

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 26/01/2015 22:17

Bols de leche ... that's obvs with the maltesers ... I may be muddling my languages there.

But hey, we're European Grin

Allalonenow · 26/01/2015 22:20

Did you try the Nutella in the microwave B3 I bet that would work, let it cool slighltly, maybe add a bit of cream, then the brandy??

You will have a lot of fun perfecting the recipe.

In Belgium you can get fab chocolate gin.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 26/01/2015 22:29

Unbelievable as it may be, I don't have a microwave Shock

Or, until now, any need for one Grin

iklboo · 26/01/2015 22:40

Leche Bols - can you imagine the mispronunciation? Grin

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 26/01/2015 22:50

Well quite darling.

That's why I put the Bols first Wink

Afternoon all!

I've been out with two lovely MNers over the last few days. Dinner on Saturday night with Spero and lunch today with thegreylady.

I saw my GP yesterday and he's increased my anti-depressant dose and given me a two week supply of Zopiclone to try and re-establish a sensible sleep pattern.

Hospital appointments are rolling in. Next week I have a CT scan on Monday evening and my Herceptin infusion on Wednesday afternoon. The following week I have an MRI scan on Monday afternoon and an appointment with my surgeon on Friday morning.

I'm still waiting for my next appointment with my oncologist to review the scan results.

Zombie, Flowers

Glad you've been given something to help with the sleep.

Sending you some newborn cuddles from ds :) he's my anti-sleep at the moment. I've lost all track of everything in my haze. Do you have plans to go back to America, or for America to come to you?

Will have fingers crossed for scan results.

Hi Zombie, lovely to hear from you. Hope the new dose of ADs help with the depression and that your sleep gets sorted out ASAP.
Sounds like you have a very busy week next week, lets all keep our fingers crossed that any results are favourable for you.
Nice to see you have been out to meet up with fellow mumsnetters, I'm sure that must of given you a bit of a boost.
How is Zombielad doing ? And of course Zombiecats !

magimedi · 27/01/2015 22:39

Just want to send huge hugs Zombie way.

And to say that we waffle away on here with or without you, dear Zombie, & please never, ever, feel that you have to post.

(Not that we don't enjoy your posts, but never, ever feel any pressure to drop into the ravine!)

iklboo · 27/01/2015 22:40

Hugs & love Zombie. Hope all goes well over the next few weeks.

CatCushion · 28/01/2015 07:14

Our thoughts are with you, Zombie. I'm glad that you have had your meds adjusted, hope that helps with things and that your sleep pattern can settle down.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 28/01/2015 19:05

Hi Zombie, excellent news about your medication, I hope it helps quickly.

It certainly sounds like your medical team are keeping a close eye on you.

The socialising has to be good for you too SmileBearFlowers

Allalonenow · 29/01/2015 10:07

Lovely to hear about your meals out with MNers, a bit of fun and laughter will have done you so much good.
Hope your new meds have kicked in and you are sleeping a bit better Zombie. You've got quite a punishing schedule coming up, so rest as much as you can. Thanks

I noticed today was the Saint's day of Saint Juniper, who surely must be the patron saint of gin and gin drinkers.

PeaceOfWildThings · 29/01/2015 17:19

Just emerging from lurkdom to say all the best, Zombie and to thank you for sharing on MN. It is a tough journey, and sharing it with others can make our tough times liveable. Hard to find the right words, but I know so many appreciate what you have shared. Brew Flowers Cake Wine

mummylin2495 · 30/01/2015 20:30

Hi all hope none of you are suffering too harsh weather conditions, very cold here on the coast tonight.
Zombie hope your spirits are lifting a little now. Take good care of yourself

magimedi · 30/01/2015 22:00

No snow here in East Sussex - thank the lord (or the zombies).

Zombie keep warm, hunker down in your cave & we are all here for you.

Lots of (((xxx))) coming your way.

Allalonenow · 30/01/2015 22:13

Only snow flurries here so far, nothing serious.

Zing I'm wondering if BabyZing would send me a few virtual BZ cuddles too, if there any to spare?

Keep warm and safe everyone, and hugs to you Zombie

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 30/01/2015 22:48

We're all here as always Z Flowers

While you're waiting for a 24 carat cuddle from BabyZing, here's one from me
((((((Bear)))))) Wine

Have arranged delivery of lovely seasoned wood to all caves tomorrow to keep our promontory fires topped up.
Don't get the ropes tangled, dulce de leche cognac is on its way Grin

CatCushion · 30/01/2015 23:23

Ooh lovely, wood fires! Have to go out to the garden for that here. Just lovely huddled up in the duvet cave.

Wolfiefan · 30/01/2015 23:28

Thinking of you here Zombie. Many more ready to take you to lunch, get you McD brekkie or feed you cocktails as necessary. Always xxx

ZingTheGreat · 31/01/2015 14:06

All

BabyZing has a rotten cold so a bit clingy and needs extra hugs himself atm, but as soon as he is better I'll teleport some extra special cuddles & chuckling laughter to you!Smile

(I have a shitty cold too, supposed to go to niece's bday party tomorrow, but I think BabyZing and I will stay home and sleep all day while DH takes the rest of the brood)

iklboo · 31/01/2015 14:13

Snow all gone here too. I went & overdid it yesterday - 3 'out of the house' sessions of about 2 hours each, with rest in between. Right back on the back foot & in bed again today. Teach me to be cocky. I was hoping to go back to work on Monday. My boss' patience will be wearing very thin.

Hope all is good with you Zombie - and all at Team # DBF

IamtheZombie · 31/01/2015 15:58

Afternoon all!

It's been a quiet week in Zombie's cave. A couple of snow flurries amounting to nothing more than sugar dusting. It has been VERY cold though.

It's really too early to tell, but I think the increased AD is going to help. I'm not so sure about the Zopiclone. I'm certainly more sleepy and relaxed but still waking during the night. I'll stick with it and hope it improves.

I had another appointment letter through this week. For a mammogram... I did ring to cancel.

Love and ZombieHugsâ„¢
