Worry not lovely phalanx, it is indeed my birthday. I am now officially 9x7 years old. Thank you all for your kind words with a special mention in dispatches for iklboo.

I didn't do a lot today but it was lovely. I DID make myself a lovely birthday dinner - rare fillet steak, jacket potatoes with butter and soured cream and corn on the cob. It was fantastic. I'm also working my way through the bubbles.

ZombieLad will be coming over in August. His passport application has been filed and he should have it in 4 - 6 weeks. I am just a wee bit excited.

Hope that the meds/pain balance is behaving itself and you are coping alright, the rest of this week. Champagne needs drinking up ready for the dry season, so that must help! Grin

Waiting to exchange contracts is effing torture, daren't instigate the next steps till that's done.

Other stuff is mainly about other people, one being my mother, who only has me to lean on. Just unfortunate timing really, it will all be fine.

Hope everyone's had a good w/e. Are you all recovered now lin?

Yes I think I'm nearly back to normal now BBB , I have to be as we now have gs moved in and my ds will also be here in the next few days. They are having a big extension built and a new roof has to go up over the whole building, going from a two bed bungalow to a five bed so you can imagine all the work. It's like a building site now , no loo only a portaloo stuck in the garden, no kitchen as such either, so mum / nan to the rescue once again, my dil is staying with her dad five mins from here.
They have moved so many times and each time they come here when in between homes, then ds completely renovates the and moves once again ! this should be the last time ds says ! We will see.
Gs been here over a week now. Haven't seen much of him as he is at work full time, then spends a lot of time with his gf. And in a couple of weeks gs and his gf are off to Dominican Republic for two weeks, so will only be ds here then.
Just when I thought I had a week of peace too as my dh , one of my brothers and 5 others off to Majorca in the early hours of tomorrow, back on Friday.

Hope everything is OK B3.

I'm bloody knackered after a hectic weekend. Topped off with watching DS play in a regional rugby U9s competition. He only started playing in October so it's his first big event. So much adrenaline!! And I'm hoarse from cheering.

His team got through to the quarter finals. They've never got so far before apparently. They were gutted about how they got knocked out (which team scored first in the first half rather than 'golden try') but we're so proud of DS & the other boys.

He still really enjoyed the day. Bit long & tiring but he had fun with the rest of the boys between matches, was proud of his little self AND got a Big Mac meal (rare treat).

Awards afternoon soon, then a big rugby break till about September. Not sure what I'll do with my training / match days back!

Zombie , how are things going for you ? Are your side effects all gone now ? I hope so. When will you have to go and have your next treatment, maybe next time the side effects won't be quite so bad ( hopefully ).
At least you can look forward to August when you will have such an important visitor, you must be so thrilled at how things have worked out. It's great.

Sorry not to have posted much lately, but have been keeping my eye on you all nonetheless!

I'm a huge rugby fan, I follow Ireland as they are the best fighters, with Italy as my second favourites as they have the best hair does and the most jolly National Anthem.

lin so hope that you are soon fully recovered, what a horrid time you've had.

B3 Are you off to sunny climes to be near DD or staying in UK? Moving is mega stress whatever you are doing.

Just moving a few miles east, so no sunnier climes than here but hopefully a bit more peaceful.

I love the Italian rugby team too, mainly for Parisse and lovely stadium in Rome.

Hope you're feeling stronger and rested Zomb. Any nice plans for the w/e?
