The snug is now expanded and open for anywenches wanting to blether away without inflicting their ramblings on the innocent Hmm participants of Telly Addicts.

Musketeer worship is still a pre-requisite to entry of course....

Baddz, have you been eating asparagus ?

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 09/01/2015 12:10

Anyone else? can you shed a lighit on other period cups? No, not you sparks. I need to order today!

Courtesy of the pill now I get two periods in a month, one 10 days in, sort of light and then in the last week of the packet. Hmm. it is an improvement from the previous months though so I just need to trust my GP that the pill will take a few months to settle. FMP.

Baddz · 09/01/2015 12:18

No.

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 09/01/2015 12:22

Definitely the plague
Just don't forget to invite is to the funeral!

Lyndie · 09/01/2015 12:26

Drink I got a Si-Bell cup from femininewear.co.uk, it is very soft so apparently if you've got amazing pelvic floor muscles it might be too soft and not pop open, but loads of people on YouTube saying it was their favourite ever. Also soft is better (apparently) if you get a sensitive bladder as the rim is not too stiff!! Oo-er!!

Baddz · 09/01/2015 12:39

Lies on chaise in dramatic/nearly dead fashion.

badders possible urine infection?

DrinkFeckArseGirls · 09/01/2015 13:55

Thanks lyndie. they didn't have si-belle in my size. I looked at loads of youtube video and I ordered the fleurcup cause it was on sale. Should be softer than mooncup was but not too soft. will keep my eye on si-belle though whenit comes back in stock, it got loads great reviews.

Lyndie · 09/01/2015 14:23

Helen that's good, take it easy.

Drink that sounds like a good choice!!

Pouring with rain here. Cleaners have been so I'm going to hibernate for a bit.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/01/2015 16:36

Hello Foxy!

This is the Snug where the regulars of the Inn hide out and talk about things like, um. laundry, illness, mooncups, erm... historical literature Blush and apparenlty hot-men-who-aren't-musketeers (otherwise known as irrelevancies Wink )

Pull up a chair and get settled by the fire.

Baddz · 09/01/2015 17:08

Alright foxy?
I have done one load and dried another.
I have also had a shower so the stench in the tavern is not coming from me anymore
I may watch In bed on iPad.
Blimey, it's windy here!

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 09/01/2015 17:11

Hope you get better soon wifey Brew Cake

And I've done one load of laundry today Wink

FancyFancy · 09/01/2015 17:22

A quick dash in & out if I'm to sit down ready for 9pm with my glass of port as I have done nothing, no really I mean nothing all day except drink tea & gossip. I can't even redeem myself by reporting on the peppermint tea/green urine debate as I forgot to look Grin

So apologies if I miss anyone
alibabs 'how's communication with your wife?'
lyndie hope you haven't been blown away
helen hope you manage to arrange that sicknote, sometimes it really is best in the long run if it helps you recover quicker
drink nothing to add on the mooncup debate except to say that it will turn up once you click that 'order now' button

You smell lovely

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 09/01/2015 18:17

Oh dear God. DS had a friend over to play (here) and he (friend) threw up - not hugely, but a bit. Cleaned it up with glpves on, all fine. Just taken him home, and left as he was hurling bucketfuls of vomit into his toilet at home. You just KNOW what I'm going down with next don't you?!

The Snug now has the benefit of 'eau de disinfectant' just in case...

Did we scare Foxy off?

Baddz · 09/01/2015 18:47

Oh no Helen! Poor mite! :(
I really hate vomit. I am quite a baby about it, really. I bleach the hell out everything if the dc are sick.
Well, first week back (well, 4 days) and both dc have been ok. Ds2 has been going into school ok which is a relief. Ds1s pal, who he walks to school with has been off all week ill but he has been fine and walked on his own, no issues. (It's quite a long way)
Dh was knackered after his trip on Tuesday/weds but seems ok now.
God knows what's wrong with me!...I just feel not right. Night sweats, headache, nausea, sinus pain, runny nose....ugh.

Flopsy28 · 09/01/2015 18:55

Evening all...welcome to the Snug foxy, good to see a fellow Porthos appreciator.

DS fine now although in his words, "a bit delicate" but he's been asking to eat crap so must be feeling better.

I'm heading over to TA to actually join in tonight so cheerio.

Alibabaandthe40nappies · 09/01/2015 19:21

Baddz I really think we've got the same thing - today I thought I was going to vomit when I went out to do school pick up. I feel alright now, especially now that I'm halfway down a G&T.

Helen - yuck yuck fingers, crossing everything you don't get it!

I have done more laundry, tidied up, got bedrooms ready for sleeping. Nothing is coming between me and Athos at 9pm! Wink

Baddz · 09/01/2015 19:47

Its odd isn't it Ali? I feel not right at all but just can't put my finger on what it is...yes to the waves of nausea!
I dont plan on doing much this weekend though!
Might get up to watch TM on the big TV later....
