I've had so many better nights out, it's generally such an anticlimax - in fact my most memorable NYE was when I got locked out by my housemate who'd nipped home for a crafty shag.

I'm also in agreement with you on the cropped tops mouse, no use when you're generously proportioned up top, everyone can see up your top. And combined with low rise jeans?

MavisGrind · 29/12/2014 22:12

Grin Apes. Night night

MiladyBeaWinter · 29/12/2014 22:13

Nice to see we are raising the children well (ref Toddlermouse and Mini-Norah). I agree re ESIL (that's an E for Evil btw) Mouse just do saccharine sweet moral high ground with extra added side eyes and smirks. She'll soon know it's not sincere but if you pitch it right no one else will and she'll look like the biatch she is. And remember you are a wench and she isn't and as such you are waaaay better than her. We've got you etc.

I just can't be arsed with Hogmanay any more. We stay in, with nice foodie stuff and watch a film or blow the dust off break out a board game. Then watch the fireworks and Hootenany until it gets shit. New Years Day is traditionally a bracing walk up something and then a big feed, followed by going round a few friends. Not as exciting as being out in Edinburgh and freezing to death but with a lot less hangover.

Madame Flowers re DP and also re Panto. Poor DS.

FancyFancy · 29/12/2014 22:15

Night apricot

Commiserations re NYE mavis that was nearly me last year until a kind friend took me in.

FancyFancy · 29/12/2014 22:22

NYE for me this year is a Musketeers Marathon with DD, we're going to select our favourite episodes - yet to be finalised, but fighty nuns will definitely be in there.

Enormouse · 29/12/2014 22:27

Glad the wenches have got my back. And the wenchlets are doing us proud Grin.

Wrt to new fangled fashions, I do like high waisted jeans - they hold everything in nicely. But the low rise jeans are getting lower and the leggings are getting more and more see through.

FancyFancy · 29/12/2014 22:31

I have seen too much arse crack, too many thongs and far too many thin leggings stretched over generous arse cheeks over the last few years. I get traumatised nearly every time I go on an escalator.

i've turned into my mother haven't I?

Enormouse · 29/12/2014 22:41

Don't get me started on the shoes fancy .

I used to catch the early bus into town so I could get to lectures and the sheer number of teens wearing flimsy pumps drove me bonkers.

I wanted to sidle up to them and suggest they get some nice sturdy non slip doc martens or something from clarks.

LaComtess · 29/12/2014 22:42

Fuck I'm getting confused with two threads.

So, presume we are finishing this fucker off?

I appear to be the odd wench out. I love NYE. We always have a party at our house and the boys invite their friends, we invite our friends, drinks and snacks, games, hootenanny, cuppa teas at 2 ish and MrC does bacon butties.

Sorry. I'll get me coat.

LaComtess · 29/12/2014 22:44

Oh and CAROLINA

Keep the DeLaFere. S'fine. Team Tom, we are family etc. I just couldn't be arsed to type it all out . I thought it was rather pretty.

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 29/12/2014 22:49

Haven't got to end yet but YYYYYYY we still are The Swagger Inn!!

WTF? Shock

BloodyElkFire · 29/12/2014 22:51

BloodyElkFire · 29/12/2014 22:54

SIL bought me a leather bracelet for Christmas.....

FancyFancy · 29/12/2014 22:55

Doc Martens , I have such a love of them, can't bear those flimsy slip-on pumps, they make my feet feel cold just to look at them. Maybe I just went to dodgy clubs, but you needed decent boots if you weren't to get wet feet when you went into the loos.

NYE at home is ok though comtess - you don't have to deal with all the drunken strangers, or have to try & find a cab home Grin. We used to do that when I was a a kid - have friends round, lots of lovely food & play cards all night.

LaComtess · 29/12/2014 22:58

Lovely pic Elk. The slightly dirty looking yellow t shirt also GMTRH. Questionable isn't it. But it does it for me.

Teehee ref leather bracelet. Hope you'll be wearing it Friday.

LetUsPrey · 29/12/2014 22:59

Ah wet feet in a club. Went to a gig last year with a friend and when we walked upstairs in the venue, our feet were sticking to the floor Grin. The toilets were sparklingly clean though. I didn't hold the handrail on the stairs though. That was a good night.

LaComtess · 29/12/2014 23:01

Fancy ooh no I wouldn't go OUT. That'd be awful Grin.

Yy to boots. I'm all about the leatherGrin

SparklesRedHotChileLeather · 29/12/2014 23:03

That reminds me, when I was in a rage re Radio 2 non-interview the other day, DH made some comment along the lines of, "Well they weren't exactly sparkling interviewees on that Brunch thing, were they?" Angry

Wonder if it's going to be another cringefest on the Breakfast Show tomorrow Grin

FancyFancy · 29/12/2014 23:03

happy memories letus! I also remember starting the evening by going into cubicles and hiding some of the loo roll for later use Grin. No one wants to drip dry on a night out

MiladyBeaWinter · 29/12/2014 23:05

I have boots. From Clarks. They have straps.

Does that mean I win the thread for joining up all the dots?

or that I have turned into a middle aged frump Shock!!

MiladyBeaWinter · 29/12/2014 23:07

Arf at drip dry Fancy Grin

FancyFancy · 29/12/2014 23:11

FlopsyTheSnowman · 29/12/2014 23:13

I'M SINKING! (again!). I really did want to try and keep up again this thread, and I ^was doing a grand job until I spent an hour on FB, APan hour catching up here then 4 pages of a new thread already.....I've given up on twitter totally.

Leave me here wenches, save yourselves!

LetUsPrey · 29/12/2014 23:15

I think most of my shoes are from Clarks or Marks and Spencer.

That's Hobbit part one done. DH has said he'd like to start watching part two tomorrow night and who am I to refuse? I'll have him rewatching Musketeers before you know it Grin

Night wenches

BloodyElkFire · 29/12/2014 23:17

All this wenching is giving me a headache.....orf to bed.

Night folks
