We are getting to the 1000 limit so I thought I would start a new happy thread!

lindac.......Oh, I feel for you with DD getting car sick in the driver's car. We've been there too. Chaffeur driven Jaguar to a BBC shoot and my DD did the same thing! It was a VERY HOT summer's afternoon and a very windy road. We arrived at our very posh hotel with uniformed footman opening the door to a little girl and car in a very sorry state. Very embarressing!! Our driver was really good about it though. I don't travel now without a sick bowl and wet wipes for just in case.

Glad the job went well though and that she enjoyed that.

julie4travel · 24/10/2006 16:18

lindic - glad job is going well

ds casting went alright today (so i think) yet think there is quite a few kids up for it. they were mainly strawberry blondes , brown heads or red heads. would love him to get it yet not too hopeful as lots of kids up for it. would be great if he did though

Tinkerbel5 · 24/10/2006 16:35

Julie fingers crossed for you, sonds like it went well then.

Tinkerbel5 · 24/10/2006 16:36

sounds that is

ellesmum · 24/10/2006 16:36

lindac - glad your dd did well with the film, sounds fun! apart from the car sickness that is!

julie - glad your ds casting went well, he has just as much chance of getting it as any of the other kids that were there, fingers and toes crossed for you that he does

the casting for mackays went well although it was a bit like a nursery with the amount of kids that were their, all of them from kids london from what i saw on the sighning in book.

elle did well, tried on 1 outfit which fitted her perfect and they took about 3 pics of her on a digital camera. they said i should know wether she got it by the end of next week.

Lolly68 · 24/10/2006 16:45

Ellesmum/Julie - glad castings went well. Lets hope you are both successful.

julie4travel · 24/10/2006 17:09

ellesmum glad it went well, were the clothes ok? i have never shopped in there although i have seen one i think in peterbrough if i remember rightly?

yackertyyack · 24/10/2006 17:09

Hi Lolly, I have the christmas Next book if you want your DDs pages out of it???
Has your DD had anything recently??

Lolly68 · 24/10/2006 17:15

Hi Yackerty. I have ordered one so hopefully it will come if not then I would be grateful to have your copy!! She was phototgraphed also for Next Spring/Summer so hopefully they will use her for that too. I have had nothing for her at all. Emailed agency last week and said that there was nothing for her. I think sometimes it is my fault cos I am meant to send in photos each month but it is finding the time to do it!

ellesmum · 24/10/2006 17:43

lolly - hope your dd gets something else soon, would good if you could update her pics.

julie - the clothes were nice, casual kids wear.
they said they havent got any stores in london with kids department only outside of london. if she gets the job it will be for window displays and their new spring cat.

lanismum · 24/10/2006 17:47

hi, just quickly posting on my mums computer, the mothercare job today was ok-ish, they wanted her in just a nappy and hooded towel, but before putting her in the towel they sprayed her hair and face with water, which she was not best pleased about! it was hard work for me to get her to sit with the towel in the right place, but she loved her 'brother', bless him he was a lovely handsome little boy also from urban angels, i think they got the pictures they wanted, i saw them on the computer after, and they were lovely, fingers crossed they will be used now!

ellesmum · 24/10/2006 18:14

glad the shoot went well lani

julie4travel · 24/10/2006 18:15

lanismum- thats a shame about the water. not being funny yet i think any child would be the same if they didn't expect it. glad they got the photos though

julie4travel · 24/10/2006 18:46

forgot to say the ts photos come in the post today (very quick), they are quite nice actually even with her hair down (which i was hoping it wouldn't be!)

Ragamuffin · 24/10/2006 18:50

lanismum......glad the shoot went alright. Don't blame your DD for being unimpressed with having water sprayed on her hair and face! I hate water on my face and would have a major problem with that too............and I'm a whole lot older than her!

julie....pics are lovely. Will e-mail you.

housemum · 25/10/2006 09:02

Tink - thanks for the advice. Just double checking re tops for B&B shoot (this to anyone else also who knows B&B shoots) - is it definitely plain colours not prints? Just cos she has been to one elsewhere before where I was told that & took plain coloured tops, but loads of others were in pretty floral prints etc & I was a bit miffed as she had nicer stuff at home but I was following the rules!

littlemadam · 25/10/2006 09:39

Hi housemum, I was told def not lots of pattern as they had problems last year. I think a subtle print would be fine, its more logos and football shirts that are a problem. I'd just take a couple and see what they say! Good luck, are you today??

julie4travel · 25/10/2006 10:59
