Hi all - a question for those who did the B&B model book - what is it normally like there? NC used to be in a studio, with just a waiting area partitioned off from the photographer with chairs/tables and a big mirror/dressing table so you could sort out hair etc. Is it the same kind of set up?

Also re outfits - I'm intending to take her in black jeans and a plain t-shirt, thinking that wouldn't distract from her and is up-to-date but neutral? (You see I think too much sometimes...) Also taking 2 spare plain t-shirts and pair of blue jeans. Anyone got any recommendations for clothing? I don't want to be bent double lugging my stuff around!! Keeping her hair down but taking plain bands/slides/clips etc so I can ask what they want when I get there.

Last question - Ladbroke Grove or Westbourne Park - which is the shortest walk? Or best route if pushing buggy (I know she's 3 but it gets us places quicker!)

Tinkerbel5 · 24/10/2006 10:50

housemum you need to got to westbourne park on the hammersmith line, come out of the station and turn left, cross the little road you come to and cut through the park, walk bearing left along the canal until you come to blue spiral stairs, walk underneath these and turn right onto the main road, and its along there on the right.

as far as clothes are concerned take a few to choose from (they will choose), no pastels, but reds blue, yellow etc will be good, dont worry about her bottoms just put her in jeans as its only head and shoulder shots.

you go into the board room and sit and wait, the photos are taken in another little room adjoined to that, they do the kids hair and makeup so dont worry about clips or not cause they will see to that.

Julie take a selection of t.shirts and let them choose, no pale colours, oh and good luck to your LO today xx

lindac · 24/10/2006 13:38

Hello ALL
julie - glad you got your call at last hope it goes realy well and your dd enjoys,
good luck to everyone with jobs and castings, anybody got any thing exciting coming up ?
i havent been on over the weekend and the thread is so hard to catch up on everything,

My dd did her first days filming yest, it went great she loved it, it was a realy long day but we was well looked after, sarah lancaster is playing her mum in the film,we will see her in it but very quickly lol, next week in derby they are filming a christmas party and you will see her dancing, it was set in 1964 so her costume was great, bright yellow dress with a wolly jumper over the top, lacy tights and yellow pumps, she wasnt amused but it grew on her !!but it went realy well x

Tinkerbel5 · 24/10/2006 13:44

Sounds fun lindac, is is Sarah Lancashire (ex corrie) ?

lindac · 24/10/2006 13:47

Tink- yes thats her, it was fun, only i think the excitment got to her as she was so car sick on the way home it was terrible. and the driver was so grumpy, i said il get hot soapy water and clean all the floor but he said no ! and she got sick about 10 mins after he said he cleaned his car every day !!!

Lolly68 · 24/10/2006 13:49

Lindac - how fab. It sounds like you had a great time. I can just imagine the driver's face clearing it all up!

Tinkerbel5 · 24/10/2006 14:09

awww linda it cant be helped your daughter getting car sick, I suffer it even to this day if I have to sit in the back of a car.

I like Sarah Lancashire, will look out for the programme when it comes out and cant wait to see your daughter.
