We are getting to the 1000 limit so I thought I would start a new happy thread!

Gosh I hope this shot is Thursday for Junior! B&B rang this morning saying it was a possibility for tomorrow what was DS's availability.

Now - Everyone can have a brownie but no pushing - they are just warm and GORGEOUS with a lump of ice cream or a cold glass of milk!

Guess what I am having for dinner!

Save me a brownie, just off to finish the curry, and know the washing up will be hell - how do I make soooo much mess!!

lolalou: have you tried Tuesday's Child agency? They're based in Cheshire I believe, they represent kids all over the country. They offered my Lola (9mth) an assessment, which was up in Macclesfield, but we were then offered a place by BG so have taken that.

housemum....DD is 9yrs and DS is 7yrs. They are with MOT and A&J.

littlemadam.....Watched your DS today. I recorded last night and watched it while doing the dreaded ironing today. There were actually quite a lot of kids in the programme. Was surprised by that. Only one boy got his name in the titles though.....a kid from Abacus Agency. Must actually have been that part we cast for as there was some dialogue.

I've not heard any more about Junior so I assume DD hasn't got it this time , hopefully next time.

Ragamuffin I think they cast for one boy and one girl, I don't even think the cradits were for one of those!!!!
DS only had one word, so hardly difficult. Some of them were there a few days, and I think they cut a lot of the scenes out, the schoolroom scenes were shorter, but at least DS still got his moment of -ahem- pride!!
Mrsratty, they haven't confirmed us yet, think all confirmations are only done day before and B and B said shoot is Thursday, as we had problem with Weds as well.

I wasn't asked about wednesday only thursday and I was asked last week. When I spoke to B&B today she said she expected to hear by this afternoon. Maybe they were different shoots if you were asked about wednesday.

Mrsratty,nevermind their loss ,they may have rescheduled shoot again as weather isnt great ! I have seen your dds pics in JL catalogue ,really cute!!
Littlemadam,we werent offered any discounts/freebies from Monsoon,what a shame as I do love their little girls clothes and try and stock up in their sales.

thorntons - do you remeber any of the names of the people whdid the monsoon shoot?

Quad, DD is back to her happy smiley self again...absolutely gutted! Have been offline as have poorly babies but it seems like a missed and heated few days!! ah well!!

I think the photographer for Monsoon is Ulla Nyeman, or something like that

Ulla Nyeman was the photographer .She is lovely. Sally was the hair and make up lady .Can`t remember any of the Monsoon teams names .Added bonus on the shoot -We saw Frank Lampard as he was being photographed in the next studio .All the Monsoon team asked for his autograph.

Hi Quad, yes you are right -you beat me to it! Ulla is fab and great with kids.DD has done quite a few shoots with her including The White Company / M&S/and Junior Pregnancy and Baby.

The one I saw who did Monsoon was a blond lady, slim and very lovely!! She does Debenhams too I think. It was one of her team, the co-ordinater whi was telling me, perhaps it was a one off!!

DD's never been photographed my a woman only men, are there mant female photograhers. She did have a male hair/makeup person once though.

littlemadam....Mrs Beaton casting was through A&J and was at the BBC. Been there quite often for a variety of things with both of mine.

is anyone with kl doing their photoshoots at any of the weekends in oct or nov. We are booked in, but my d has so many teeth missing at the moment i am quite reluctant to pay the money if she is going to be paranoid about smiling and having fun at the shoot. Might just said some more of my own in we had some great pictures taken at Venture last year its a shame that i can't just copy them. Also finding it vbery quiet at the moment, we had so many castings and possible jobs in the holidays but nothing for wekks.

Raga, that sounds really good, I think DS would like to get into drama, do yours do classes?? He would like to do it, and I think it might do him good. Your DD and DS must be really good, they have done loads of that type of thing, do they like it better than photoshoots??

elle31 - it's been the same for all of us with school agded children but things are picking up.

BBW = thanks for that - would be good to know where the other ones are. it was run in milton keynes and southwark (sp?) as well as brent.

do UA renew contract every year - my last agency didnt. bit worried at ds has had castings with them but no job but the year isnt up till next may so hoping we get something by then. be a shame for them to end contract - has that ever happened to anyone?

mysonsmummy..my dd first year with u/a is up this month,her brother joined them in may also .we got a nice email asking her to renew her contract,and a phone call today asking me to take her to have her photos done next month.
the email made me think that maybe they dont renew everyone(but i might be wrong).sorry dont think ive been much help.

mysonsmummy- can you remind me what you are waiting for, i am going to milton keynes fri night so can look over there. I am very lazy not scrolling down the thread sorry
