We are getting to the 1000 limit so I thought I would start a new happy thread!

this was on napm this morning
i am not applying as we could do with a quieter weekend this weekend as last one was a bit mad

London Film Academy graduate Hedi Young is directing ?Outside?, a short film about a doctor and her patient. The film is shooting on DV this weekend in London, and will be submitted to festivals.
The following extra is needed this Saturday morning in Bethnal Green, east London, for no more than 2 hours:
A nurse (female, aged 25-50) ? one line of dialogue.
The following extras are needed this Sunday morning in Muswell Hill, north London, for no more than 2 hours:
A mother and child (male, aged 5 to 6) ? walk-on.
A mother and child (male, young enough to be in a pushchair) ? walk-on.
The mother and child pairs should actually be mother and son.
This film is self-funded, but we are able to pay the nurse £20, and each mother and child £40. Travel expenses will be covered, and a copy of the film provided.
Please send details/headshots to:

Hi Julie4travel
Excuse my ignorance...but what is napm ???

mythumbelinas · 18/10/2006 09:57

hi mysonsmummy, i will keep a look out for job centres when i pass some high streets in brent when i go to my mum's.

elle31, my dd1 is having her model book shoot next week with KL. She has her two top teeth missing!

nothing much happening. dd2 has been optioned for m&s but not heard yet.

i did an 'extra' job at the w/e and have been called if i can do two days next week aswell. So waiting for details now.

julie4travel · 18/10/2006 10:37

mum- the website is www.notapushymum.com and people post on their any castings or jobs which they have seen advertised on sites such as talent circle or star now etc

julie4travel · 18/10/2006 10:49

mysonsmummy- if its a job centre i haven't a clue where that is in Mk. i only really know the shops and dont think that is there sorry

julie4travel · 18/10/2006 10:51

mythums- well done on your extra job. r u with an agent or do you apply for the star now ones etc?

mythumbelinas · 18/10/2006 11:03

julie, thanks, i guess i am with an agency, as they've called me for a few things recently, so if they want me i will join .. i don't really want to get lots of work, just the odd thing to make it exciting

ellesmum · 18/10/2006 11:31

good luck mythumbs with the extra part and dd getting a call for m and s!

mrsratty · 18/10/2006 11:41

Hello everyone, nothing to add today other than I am so bored!

OP posts:
mrsratty · 18/10/2006 11:42

mythumbelinas - good luck for M&S and the extra work, sounds fun!

julie4travel · 18/10/2006 11:59

mrsratty - yes it seems so quiet ! seems that i am always waiting for a call which hasn't happened yet!

mythumbelinas · 18/10/2006 12:07

i still haven't received my littlewoods catalogue (or mothercare xmas brochure)!! i thought it might take up to 28 days, but it's been longer than that

mythumbelinas · 18/10/2006 12:08

thanks mrsratty and ellesmum too i'm bored today too .. wanted to go out shopping but i feel so tired. Any tips for energy?

Lolly68 · 18/10/2006 12:12

MyThumbs - once you get out to those shops I'm sure the energy will come!! I'm at work and would rather be at home or shopping with my DD!!

mythumbelinas · 18/10/2006 12:16

lolly68, yes, i'd just go out before, but these days dd2 doesn't want to sit in her buggy much anymore and i spend most of my time chasing after her, hiding amongst the clothes etc.
I'm not one of those shoppers that knows what to buy .. i have a tough time finding clothes!

Lolly68 · 18/10/2006 12:26

Ah bless. My DD only 8.5 mths and I suppose I have all the fun of chasing her round the shops next year! Ha ha. I'm bored too though if its any consolation.

mythumbelinas · 18/10/2006 12:45

oh, have just remembered that i need a plain top for dd1's model book shoot. I think she can wear the one i bought last yr as she's never worn it .. it was a little big, so KL gave her one of their own tops.
If not, i WILL go out shopping .. tomorrow

Lolly68 · 18/10/2006 12:49

Good for you! Its so quiet on the modelling front isnt it? The castings/jobs always come in at once. Like buses...

mrsratty · 18/10/2006 13:12

DD has been confimed for th eJunior shoot though as I was out I didn't take the details so need to wait until 2pm. I am so impatient!!!

littlemadam · 18/10/2006 13:22

I've just seen the JL christmas catalogue from the Sunday Times (we're slow readers in the LM house!) Yummy and Mrsratty, your DDs look fab, and the front cover is a super shot...Both girls look beautiful!! Are there any other LOs in there??

Pimms/Mrsratty BB say J shoot now moved to Friday!!! Better for us actually...is your shoot the same?
Good luck thumbs for both...the extra stuff sounds really interesting...so is the series true to life!! Hope M and S come thru.

mythumbelinas · 18/10/2006 13:22

mrsratty, well done to dd. Hasn't she done a couple of junior jobs already?!!!

mrsratty · 18/10/2006 13:26

littlemadam - as far as I know ours is tommorow, will find out at 2 when they open again.
Mythumbs - this will be her third since May, DD really likes the junior jobs.

OP posts:
housemum · 18/10/2006 13:29

mythumbs - if you have an H&M near you they are good for plain tops in various colours (loads of places just seem to have tops with big logos on!!).

I bought dd a pack of 3 t-shirts a few weeks ago in M&S - dusty pink/cream/mid blue that was in their basic/nice price/whatever-they-call-it-there range which were really nice quality and look great with jeans.

DD has a really nice pair of black straight leg jeans(they call them skinny fit but as they are for kids they are more straight than skin-tight thank goodness, not sure kids should be in spray-on-skinny style jeans!) - £9 in M&S though don't know if the sizes are a bit out on their cheaper range - I had to buy age 5 for my 3.5 year old for length and pull the waist in as far as poss!

mrsratty · 18/10/2006 13:32

M&S have a sale on at the moment. Jeans for £5 and cheap PJ's worth a look if there's any stuff left.

mythumbelinas · 18/10/2006 13:35

oh thanks housemum. i do prefer to have an idea of where to look rather than browse, and i can't shop with anyone, coz i end up chatting too much!

mrsratty, yep thought so. How lucky!! her 3rd time!! Oh i wish my dd1 would get picked, but she's probs too big now. Also love for dd2 to do it again .. i loved her junior pic!
