Quad, thats great news that they are renewing for all of them.

littlemadam · 17/10/2006 14:09

Quad, was it your DD on the vodaphone ad, or am I losing it completely!!!!

Junior is a shoot, they don't do castings, as its all very low pay, but great pics! They told me some photographers are waiving their fees just to get a chance to shoot for them. They do have fabby fashion pages, did you see Mrsrattys DD last month? Coool!

mrsratty · 17/10/2006 14:09

I knew what you meant

lolalou · 17/10/2006 14:16

Hi there everyone
new to the world of cm - threads are reeeally intresting!
Would love to hear experiences about Rascals or Childsplay please -DD has assessment with both.
Have also noticed that many agencies prefer children to live in London? We live in the Midlands - can anyone recommend a Midlands agency?
Saw comments about UA - DD rejected - explanation was that she had a "similar look" to another of the girls on there - my impression was that they keep numbers low to guarantee their kids work

ellismummy · 17/10/2006 14:18

Julie we drove up yesterday as decided to combine it with ikea trip. Normally would jump on train as live by the station and is much more fun for ds. didnt help with ds though as he was just nodding off as we arrived, had to wake him up to go in, so prob was why he wasnt too impressed with the whole thing.

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 14:20

congrats littlemadam on your ds's moment of fame did he watch it??

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 14:21

lolalou I don't know of any in the midlands, but i spoke to lady from birmingham last week and her dd was with Alphabet kids, you could give them a call?

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 14:24

Lolalou - Childsplay are meant to be good although they have a very high sign on fee - even more than ES and SW. I dont know much about Rascals although have met a few babies at castings I have been to. The Cow&Gate Ad was a Rascals baby. Dont know any in the Midlands I'm afraid.

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 14:25

Mrsratty - no call. What age group is your LO?

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 14:26

she is 4 or 5 lolly!

julie4travel · 17/10/2006 14:26

mrsratty - no monsoon call here

lolalou- we are cambridgeshire and we have chosen london agencys

someone else recommended dk in Sheffield yet not too sure how far away that would be for you? Good luck

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 14:27

Quad - thank you for saying Lydia's name is pretty! I was always sure that if I had a girl I would call her Madeline but my DP did not like it - there was a few heated debates - and in the end I fell in love with Lydia (her middle name is Sian)! Maybe I should have 3 more and become a SAHM too ! Dont think DP would like that though... ha ha.

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 14:27

I want a monsoon call love monsoon clothes

lolalou · 17/10/2006 14:28

Hi Quadro
Thanks for that
Following a no from ES standard email saying they don't acept kids from outside london - called AK on the issue of travel B4 I sent any pix - they advised midlands too far - might send a photo you never know...
Modelling seems a bit of a closed shop for us northerners!! You're so lucky

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 14:28

Probably wont get call then...!

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 14:28

my dp was allowed anywhere near the names decison thats how much i trust him!!

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 14:29

I'm from northampton!

julie4travel · 17/10/2006 14:29

my dd loves monsoon clothes too - she always wants to wear the flarey mary dresses and skirts
so expensive though unless a sale is on

lolalou · 17/10/2006 14:30

thanks Julie
Just wondering How do you find the travel? Do you find yourself popping down for a 5 minute casting? On balance is it worth it would you say - would appreciate your view
thanks

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 14:30

Lolalou - Isnt there an agency in Manchester that is meant to be good? Thinks its called Boss or something - I know they get quite a bit of work. Maybe Manchester might be too far for you to.

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 14:30

and sales are great in theory but in reality, stuff nightmare are made of!

Right am off to do some tidying i am sooooooooooooooo behind xx

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 14:31
