We are getting to the 1000 limit so I thought I would start a new happy thread!

had a private message from scampbunny telling me to grow up

I just had to respond didn't I

mrsratty · 17/10/2006 12:59

Quad - I think it all so fuuny. Scampbunny and Bogie are hilarious in not being able to understand what you were saying. Loved the bit were you got quoted, it just seemed to back up everything you said!

lanismum - I also though you were going to get a tatoo done, preganat and with a toddler - that would be a funny sight!

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 13:15

Julie4travel - have heard nothing from ES for weeks. Dont know if its quiet or mr DD is not wanted!! How about you?

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 13:16

meant to say "my DD" not Mr DD!

julie4travel · 17/10/2006 13:18

lolly- not a thing - its oh so quiet for us! thought we would have something before half term yet not a thing

fingers crossed our phones will start ringing soon

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 13:18

lolly how old is your dd?? think its pretty quiet everywhere at the moment!

mrsratty · 17/10/2006 13:26

I've tried twice in last last few days to register and not got an activation link. My old username / password does not work . I think I may have been baned!!!

Quad - my DD is 8.5 months. A few weeks ago had 3 castings in one week and then you dont get nothing for ages - funny how it goes isnt it? I always get confused how many LO's you have and how old they are?

ellismummy · 17/10/2006 13:33

Julie, we had it yesterday(mon), the people were really nice, the photographer was brilliant but my ds has admittedly just hit a difficult stage, he didnt want to be very co-operative, didnt want to be measured or anything and didnt want to smile, he wasnt badly behaved just as I said, not very co-operative! but the photographer said he got a couple of nice ones of him.
He is not like this all the time(otherwise would never dream of putting him in for modelling) but I guess 2yr olds have their off days, just typical mine chose that day!
Would recommend getting there in plenty of time so your dd can have a play with the toys and get used to it all first, although she may already be used to it all if she has done a couple of things from starnow, but it was my ds's first experience of it all so must of been a bit strange to him.

julie4travel · 17/10/2006 13:42

ellismummy- thanks for advise. shame he had an off day yet hopefully they got some great photos
glad you said the photographer was good. i would love some nice pictures from this. at the star now casting my dd was giggling away doing heads shoulders knees and toes with the photographer and i think that made her so relaxed etc. mine is on sun so will let you know how she gets on. hope she isn;t too tired by the time we get there!

ellismummy · 17/10/2006 13:45

The photographer was daniel pangbourne if you look on his website you can see some of his work, he was v.good with the children, are you going sun because you couldnt make yesterday? as I though yesterday was 2-4yr olds.

littlemadam · 17/10/2006 13:48

Lela, can't add much more, just I'd agree not to rush into it, ask around, I think lots of us have paid out and then thought twice!!

DS's five seconds of fame...having his nose wiped!! Save that one up for his 21st

Junior have changed DS's days to Weds or Thurs, seems its weather dependant...probably Summer clothes

I can't get into CM on that thread, has it been removed d'y'know??

Thorntons, was your DD in the White Co Christmas pics, they have lots of new pics on their site. I know you did some on location, was that for Spring??

Good luck to all those waiting on castings etc!!

littlemadam · 17/10/2006 13:51

Ohh forgot to refresh!! Best of luck Julie with yur pics for DD, and we might see you next week if they are running late!! Ellismummy, they all have an off day, but I'm sure the pics will be fab!!

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 13:54

hey Lolly, ahh 8.5 months is a cute age. I have four kids twin girls aged 6, ds aged 5 and ds2 aged 3, hence the name 'quad'rophenia and that i like mod stuff too!!

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 13:56

Quad - I bet your days are busy then!! I bet they are all gorgeous. That's a great name by the way - now that I know what it means! Mine is a little dull Are all your LO's modelling? Are you with B&B?

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 13:58

they are all mad more than anything else but yes cute with it, life can be busy but i'm quite organised, i have to be!!
Yes they all model and are with UA, have been for three years now, the girls tend to get more work than the boys but they have just asked to rernew all their contracts so thats good with me!

julie4travel · 17/10/2006 13:58

thanks littlemadam - it will be a long morning tackling her hair before we get their. i know they have a stylist their yet she has so much of it and wearing lose will prob not be the best thing for her. good luck with junior is it a casting or the actual shoot. you may have put it before sorry!

ellismummy- i applied both my kids at the same time and took them both for assesment. in the end my ds went with b and b yet they booked the family appointment day incase i decided to go with them at a later date for him. She would have been yesterday if i hadn't applied them both

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 14:00

That is fantastic news! Well done to all your LO's! You are so lucky to be at home. I had to go back to work last month. I hate leaving her but hopefully next Summer will be able to give up. Lydia is with ES. I went with them because my son used to be with them 15years ago. It has all changed now though!

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 14:00

I am carrying out my battle in private now, have had two not nice pm's hehe

Lolly68 · 17/10/2006 14:02

How funny. I read to the thread before it was deleted. They took it very personally didnt they?!! If it gets too heated then I would not bother replying to them.

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 14:05

ahh thanks Lolly!! met a lovely mum from ES last week, she modelled for them when she was a child and her mum was a model before her!
I'm not always a SAHM have dabbled in other bits, its nice being at home but sometimes it can make you feel pretty unappreciated, noone thanks you for hoovering tidying up etc! I worked up until number 4 was born and after that it became too much! I can understand why you don't want to be at work but believ me sometimes I wish I was

btw lydia is a really pretty name

Quadrofiendia · 17/10/2006 14:06

yeah think you are right x
