Does anyone actually enjoy the newborn stage?

It's my second time round and I thought I'd cope better second time round. But 2 weeks in and I'm hating it just as much as the first time. I can't seem to see the light at the end of the tunnel - the constant feeding, winding, sleep deprivation, trying to settle etc. I think the newborn stage is like living my worst nightmare - so people hate interviews, flying etc, this is what I hate! Sorry to whinge but does any one else feel the same? Does anyone actually enjoy this bit?

hated it. Hated not knowing what to do/what they wanted/what it all meant. Shite. But it got better

Didn´t enjoy the newborn bit at all, but heh it doesn´t cover such a large portion of motherhood does it?! I feel more sorry for those who continue breeding because they like this stage and don´t like dealing with older children!

I know what you mean Birkie - I'm the youngest of four and when I asked my mum what possessed her to have four she replied 'I just liked being pregnant'!!! No mention of the next 18 years

Ahh this thread really helped me during the first few weeks/months! So I wanted to come back and say IT REALLY GETS EASIER! and more fun😄 I was counting the hours/days during the first weeks… had so much anxiety. But there are clear improvements at 4-5 months, then after 6 months and by 1 year old it’s such a different story! I’m loving this stage. Please believe everyone when they say it gets easier and enjoy what you can, or accept you don’t like it but it will soon pass ☺️
