The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

Let the chat commence!

Zombie fantastic photos, thanks for sharing them.

Industrial quantities of tissues being used here! Smile

Safe journey!

YeGodsAndLittleFishes · 01/12/2014 09:16

So glad that you are there, Zombie, and able to be a part of ZombieLad's life. Isn't it amazing that we can share photos like this so instantly now? Looking at those school reports and baby pictures at last must bring it to mind. The contrast.

If you can't have the original baby pictures of yourself (I can see how you might want ZombieLad to have them) you can always take photos of them (I imagine if they had a scanner they would have sent them to you already, but it might be worth considering the lad getting a scanner to get good quality digital copies of the old photos and documents).

What lovely photos Zombie, I can't imagine how happy you felt having that taken. Would be nice to have one blown up and framed so you can see it all the time. I imagine you are packed / packing now with a heavy heart but you will see him again. Of that I'm sure . Thankyou for sharing such important moments in your life with the damnbuggerfuck team . X

I am just popping in to put the champagne on ice, the nibbles ready to go &
"Welcome Home, Zombie" banners up around the place.

Z should land at Heathrow tomorrow morning.

I'm sure you feeling tired & a bit sad, Zombie but what a trip you've had.

That ZLad of yours is pretty good looking - shame I'm not about 30 years younger! Grin

Fab photos Zombie, what a fantastic experience this had been for you all.

It's just flown by so quickly, you must be physically and emotionally shattered.

Safe trip home sweetheart, hope you can sleep on the plane.

Looking forward to hearing your stories, after a couple of duvet days!

Those ZombieCats will be sooooooo purrleased to see you GrinFlowers

Valpollicella · 02/12/2014 09:10

Thanks for the message Val

I guess you will be home now Zombie and I can imagine you will be feeling a bit detached and surreal.

I hope you can sleep for a while.

Remember to check your shoes for 'gifts' from the ZCats!

IamtheZombie · 02/12/2014 13:29

Everything went like clockwork and I'm now safely home in DDS. All ZombieCats are present and accounted for.

I did manage to sleep on the plane but I'm now ready for a nap.

IamtheZombie · 03/12/2014 11:09

Morning!

I napped for 3 hours and was back in bed at 11.00 last night. I've only just woken up.

Cats are fed and I'm on my first cup of coffee. I'm off to the hospital this afternoon for my next Herceptin infusion.

I've had a letter changing the time of my appointment with my oncologist on the 16th to the last appointment of the day. That no doubt means he has a lot to discuss with me. I'm hoping my MRI report will be with my notes today so I can have a good read.

IamtheZombie · 03/12/2014 18:39

Whoop, Whoop, WHOOP!!! It appears the CT Scan was WRONG!!

Report on MRI Liver with contrast:

Indication: History of bilateral breast cancer (resected). 2 liver metastases on MRI in June. Recently completed chemotherapy. CT showed no change in the liver metastases and MRI recommended to assess need for possible liver resection.

Findings: Comparison with recent CT dated 14/10/14 and MRI dated 03/06/14.

The 2 ring-enhancing metastatic lesions seen in segment IVb on previous MRI, the larger measuring 16 mm and the smaller adjacent to the gallbladder measuring 5 mm are no longer visible (these are marked as Key images on previous MRI). There is focal fatty change adjacent to the falciform ligament as before. Several simple cysts are also unchanged.

So the hell that was Docetaxel may have been worth it after all.

The other good news is that my CA15-3 level is within the normal range. It's near the top of the normal range but it's still NORMAL.

This may call for a bottle of bubbly. Grin Grin Grin

Please NB - This just means that the cancer is under control for now. It is NOT a cure.
