Zombie continues her cancer journey after chemo

The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

Hi Zombie, hope it's not quite so cold for you today. Just been reading about all the snow in NY. Hope it dosent reach as far as where you are because it's caused a lot of problems for some.
Have you had a chance to do any " essential " shopping yet ? Are the Xmas decs up in the streets ?

Just been looking at the snow storm in USA, hope you have got some fluffy lined thermals Zombie!

Hello Zombie and hello Zombieson . The vids from parts of USA look horrendous for some. Def need the thermals on if it's so cold where you are. Hope you are having a wonderful time and making lots of new memories to bring home with you.i think it's wonderful that you are able to finally catch up with your Ds and get to know one another in person. In my thoughts.

None of us can really imagine this experience that you're having, but your smile and your son's expression, his arm round you and his head on yours, just conveys everything.

Oh dear, I may need rather a lot of tissues.

Evening.

It has been an amazing few days and not just with ZombieLad but also with his mom and dad. I could not have been made more welcome nor made to feel more loved. Tuesday evening ZLad and I were on the front porch for some "fresh air" (I was smoking and he was vaping). He turned to me and asked if he could call me Mum. We just hugged for a few minutes. So, I'm now Mum and his parents are Mom & Dad.

He brought me down to Charlottesville to my uncle's house yesterday. He had to go back home as he had to work Thursday & Friday. He's coming back for the weekend. Then he's back to work on Monday, off to see his girlfriend for a few days on Thursday and back here on Sunday. Then (boohoo) on Monday evening I fly back to the UK.

I'm now having a great time with my uncle.

I'm going to leave you with the comment ZLad posted on FB when I put the picture on my Timeline.

"I love you Mum. I'm immeasurably proud to be your son."

Oh Zombie. That's so lovely that he's calling you mum and everyone is getting along so well :)

A bit of a shame he's going away when you are only there a short while!? Maybe his girlfriend will come up instead!?

To you those three little letters must mean the world Zombie "Mum" it seems that you have been taken to their hearts instantly.
