The thread in Chat has gone to thread heaven. Silly Zombie thought it wasn't due to go until tomorrow so missed her chance to ask HQ to move it here.

She slept well last night and feels reasonably well this morning.

Let the chat commence!

"Any other lurkers out there please make yourselves known! The more the merrier."

Obeying instructions and delurking!

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 31/10/2014 23:34

Oh we do like obedience AuntieS Grin

Sleep well Zombie Flowers

IamtheZombie · 31/10/2014 23:44

Evening!

Welcome, AuntieStella. Pull up a beanbag and make yourself comfortable.

I did go out today but the retail therapy was limited to Tesco. To be honest, at the moment there's really nothing I need and I'm drawing a blank on Christmas presents so I'm avoiding temptation. Grin

YeGods, you are far braver than Zombie. I could never, EVER ride one of those things. I do like Vienna though.

magi, I would be MOST disappointed if fun, frivolity and gin did not swamp this thread.

mummy, HUGE ZombieHugsâ„¢. I have a couple of clusters of unhappy anniversaries and they really are the pits.

Bee, my darling, you carry on carrying on.

This weekend I must, Must, MUST do laundry and housework.

IamtheZombie · 01/11/2014 00:30

Ooooh, where do you want to go, cavkc?

OP posts:
ZingOfSeven · 01/11/2014 01:34

laundry and housework you say?

maybe I should send over ZingGirl. she is only 2.5 but very good at mopping up stuff with a cleaning cloth. she will peel your carrots too and feed you with grapes. whether you want them or not.
she will gently squash a grape against your lips while looking oh-so-cute until you give in and eat it.
but be warned, she will drink your tea!Wink

mummylin2495 · 01/11/2014 14:24

Hi Zombie' if you have managed to do your washing I hope it's a lovely drying day where you are, lovely sunshine here and washing flapping about beautifully , don't think you can beat the smell of line dried washing. It's the ironing for me that's the problem, I hate it and tend to let it build up !
I hope you had a good nights sleep once again and I think as it's Nov today the countdown until your trip can begin.its going to be so exciting for you and your Ds.

BewitchedBotheredandBewildered · 01/11/2014 16:42

OK, will do FounderinChief Flowers

Shame ZCats can't learn to do laundry, or at least run the hoover round Grin

Did you get your flights cavkc? Where are you going?

< not being remotely nosey, some destinations present perfect opportunity for Sustenance Officer to replenish Stores, luggage allowance permitting>

magi thanks for gin, bet I can be more disruptive than you Grin

May I borrow ZingGirl please? She sounds divine. Just as long as she doesn't drink my wine!

Allalonenow · 02/11/2014 23:08

How has your weekend been Zombie?

Hope you've not worked too hard at laundry and housework, and have made time for rest and treats.

I remember you like to shop little and often, so hope you've got some of your favourite foods in, to brighten up each day.
I often plan the day's menu lying in bed in the early predawn hours.

BBB I certainly have you down as top notch Head Girl material, and just love the way you are getting us all organized.

I would love a go on the chair-o-plane thing. I once went on the European space training day and got "highly commended" because I was the only one who didn't throw up!!

PS Vienna is one of my favourite places.

mummylin2495 · 02/11/2014 23:56

Hello Zombie, hope your weekend has been good. For myself I am now glad it's over. Rain here yet again with flashes of lightening and a bit of thunder , hope it doesn't worsen.
How is your foot now ? And how is your DS getting on with his job.wont be long out of my bed tonight , I am feeling worn out tonight ! Sleep well dear Zombie

ZingOfSeven · 03/11/2014 00:24

Bee

Smile You can also borrow ZingBoy5. he is absolutely gorgeous and lives up to his "rainbow baby" status. he calls everyone "lovely" and says that he "loves everyone and all the people 100 and 72 and 86 and 5 much"Grin And his hugs are way better than mine.

He should do happiness therapy.

how are you Zombie ? how was your weekend?
we had roast pork again, I saved some fab crackling for you!Smile

Allalonenow · 03/11/2014 01:28

Ooohhh!! Thanks for that extra gin ration, just what I needed. Halloween Grin

Thanks for all of us with sad anniversaries around this time, I lost my Dad in tragic circumstances on 5th Nov, and though it is a few years ago now, it's still very painful on the day. Eased by all the lovely memories I have of him, and bits and bobs of his I use every day, but it all still hurts, so much sympathy to others suffering loss.

Zing would you put me on your list for a hug from one of your little ones please? It's ages since I've had a squeeze from a small child Smile I do cake and home made ice cream, and as its always wet here, jumping in puddles followed by hot chocolate.

ZingOfSeven · 03/11/2014 01:50

All

I'm sorry about your dad Sad Thanks

I think you need at least a 4-bear-hug!
((((hug))))

ZingOfSeven · 03/11/2014 01:52

And with all those things on offer I'm going to pretend I'm a small child!Grin

Allalonenow · 03/11/2014 02:07

Awww, how lovely of you Zing I can feel that hug now Smile

And yes, do come and be spoilt while you recover from your op, hope you are feeling much better by the way.

ZingOfSeven · 03/11/2014 02:12

for all those in need of a healing hug here's one of my favourite quotes:

"One day someone will hug you so tight that all your broken pieces will stick back together"

love you all

mummylin2495 · 03/11/2014 14:57

Zombie wishing you all the best for your apt tomorrow, I will have everything crossed that things will be well for you and that you have some positive news from your medical team, thinking of you Thanks

IamtheZombie · 03/11/2014 20:14

Evening.

I went for my echocardiogram this afternoon. All seems well on that front. Cardio-respiratory has been added to the list of hospital clinics where I am now well known. "Hello, Mrs. Orr. Lovely to see you again."

Oncology appointment tomorrow afternoon. I'm having to re-write my notes and questions as one of the ZCats sat on my notebook with a less than clean bum...

I will admit to being more than a bit nervous about the appointment.

OP posts:
ZingOfSeven · 03/11/2014 21:17

yuck. Zcat is disgusting.

Will anyone be able to go with you to that appointment?

IamtheZombie · 03/11/2014 21:28

No, Zing. I'll be on my own. That's my choice. When I've taken friends with me before it's ended up with them getting extremely distressed even when it's been a bog standard appointment. I'm much better alone so I can concentrate on the discussion with the doctor. I take copious notes and then go away and digest (get my head around) what was discussed. Once I've come to terms with it I'm then ready to share it with others.

OP posts:
ZingOfSeven · 03/11/2014 21:30

And what will be the focus of this appointment?
(sorry if you said already)

(big hugs)

Allalonenow · 03/11/2014 21:39

Glad the appointment today was straightforward Zombie and really hope tomorrow is too. Think it's for a treatment review? Though I've probably lost track.

I've never had a cat, but the less than clean bums and the festering rat hidden behind the curtain are putting me off a bit.

Mind, I've always fancied a house rabbit, surely they would only leave bits of limp salad about the place?

mummylin2495 · 03/11/2014 22:03

Zombie, you may be alone tomorrow physically , but spiritually we will all be standing with you. X

IamtheZombie · 03/11/2014 22:15

Zing, I had a CT scan 3 weeks ago after finishing my chemotherapy. When I went for my Herceptin infusion 2 weeks ago the report on the CT was in my notes. Unfortunately the chemo had no effect on the tumours on my liver. (It had been hoped / expected that the chemo would have at least shrunk if not eliminated those tumours.) Tomorrow will be spent discussing what the next phase of treatment will involve. There are a lot of options from surgery to further chemotherapy. But the fact that the Docetaxel (which is one of the strongest, nastiest chemo drugs going) didn't affect the mets is not good news.

All, I adore my cats and they adore me. I'm the one who feeds them after all! Frankly I think they are a bit distressed right now. They 'know' somthing is wrong with Mummy. There's almost always one or another of them on my lap trying to cuddle up.

Thanks, mummy. xx
