Zombie's journey with breast cancer

As most of you know, I'm having my second mastectomy on Thursday. I will almost certainly need to have more chemotherapy.

This is my thread for those who wish to walk beside me on my journey.

mummy, I should have the CT scan next week (surgeon put a rush on it) and then see the oncologist very shortly after that.

Bee, I'd also assumed the two would be related. But, the first one was hormone positive and this one is hormone negative. Greedy Zombie...

Basketz, the ZombieCats take care of mice plans to the extent of catching them, bringing them indoors and releasing them. While they're still alive.

How does this sound as a provisional plan for the weekend?

Tonight get pished.

Tomorrow morning / early afternoon - wallow.

Tomorrow afternoon - get angry and take anger out on cobwebs, floors that need hoovering, laundry that needs doing and bathrooms that need cleaning. NB: this stage will no doubt last through Sunday as well.

I am a grumpy grump. Wallowing went fairly well. At least I spent a fair amount of time under the duvet. Cobwebs are still intact (cba to get angry).

I had to have more fluid drained yesterday and it was a bit of a palaver requiring several attempts using different angles with surgeon squeezing and nurse wielding the syringe. As a result I'm feeling battered and bruised. Oh, and there's more fluid accumulating so I'll have to go through it again.

I don't like Eurovision and can't find much on the telly.

Bah humbug.

I agree with you about the tele Zombie, load of crap on ! Sorry you have had to have some fluid drained, that sounds painful. And not nice for you to know you will have to have it done again. I think in the circumstances you are perfectly entitled to wallow. Hope tomorrow will be a better day for you.
