I think it's far preferable to the constant drizzle of rain!

have considered moving north (ie to Scandanavian country or Iceland) to avoid hot summers

I found out it is 26 degrees, that's not hot!

I don't. Don't want to be out in the June sun (the worst time of year) and hate not being able to sleep at night. Not at work today but there is something wrong with the building and we have been working in temperatures of 100 degrees this week. Deeply unpleasant.

Those Minstrels are going to be a bit sticky at this rate, I hope they are in your fridge LGJ

It's a blasted pain when you are pg or have a new baby, but with a toddler and two young schoolkids, a bit of factor 50 and a hat each... it's a gift!

and they are all suffering the worst hayfever in my house. i've been advised to keep the windows shut but bloody hell, were all goin to die from the heat then instead!

Agree about the toddler. Plus, you can eat lunch outside, skip the mess indoors, and trump it up as a picnic. my living room is staying reasonable too, which is unheard of!

love the sun. like the lack of rain (apart from what it's doing to my pathetic excuse for a lawn) but not the heat, leaves me wiped out. but on balance not complaining

But I have an essay to write, lessons to plan a house to tidy and lots of decluttering to do.

hate the heat. Grew up in Yorkshire so am acclimatised to rain, wind and snow. Also hate having to defuzz legs and, you know, think about applying fake tan etc.

i'm a yorkshire lass too edam :), & also can't bear the heat. keep obsessing about the children being creamed up & being in the shade. we're all currently indoors............
