god i didnt think of anybody being with them, but the pics are terrible!!

mrratty · 21/06/2006 15:53

Just had another look at mimo (they automatically e-mail a password in seconds if you requset one) and the pictures of the girls in their realy to mid teens are terrible. I'm not to sure that it is really going to work out as the company also run a childminding service and make handmade cards, I think there are too many conflicts of interest.

I had afeeling about IK, thats why I never joined in the end, if some of u remember i was wondering whether 2 go with them or not! it may be a temp problem, but unlikely - they had no clients to speak of! 87 models @ £100 = £8700 plus 70 adults @ £100 = £7000 nearly £16000

Thtas a shame because inspired has a lovely website which looks really professional they also had really nice photos.
It's fair enough that mimo let you use your own photos I think that if they vetted them properly they would look more proffesional.
Must be PMT that is making me so critical today!

misdee · 21/06/2006 16:31

oh god, i hope thats not the case with inspired. i really do. i must be so niave.

what is happening to IK? i'm worry now!!

cyan · 21/06/2006 16:56

i think its really unprofessional that they havent contacted their kids parents to let them know whats going on, which makes me worry that are a bit suss. i really hope for the people who are with them that it is teething problems and not a scam. perhaps they just never really got off the ground as there is so much competition.

hello

our audition went well, apart from missing our train and having a panic!

anyway, got a call today and my daughter has been shortlisted for the shoot, so I am really pleased and she has a grin on her face to die for! Can't wait to tell her dad when he gets in

mrratty · 21/06/2006 17:09

Is anyone with cheeky kidz?

tigeryuan · 21/06/2006 17:11

mumsnetmummy - excellent!
fingers crossed she got the job!

mrratty · 21/06/2006 17:15

Izzy - I've noticed that your daughter is with them. They want to see my youngest and it's a long to go if I decide that I'm not keen on them. Does your daughter get much work form them and also I noticed that they are sole rep, how did you get around that?

mumsnetmummy · 21/06/2006 17:20

thanks tigeryuan. I am quietly confident because they kept her in longer than the others and the agency have called twice today asking if she has got white trainers and if we are available if they change the shoot date. I havent told my daughter that though just incase she doesnt get it.

i'll keep you posted!

mrratty · 21/06/2006 17:21

mumsnetmummy - well done, sounds like the move was a good idea! What was it for?

mumsnetmummy · 21/06/2006 17:22

izzy > just noticed what mrratty said? how are you with 3 agencies if cheeky kids are sole rep? I had to leave an agency when i changed back to bizzykidz because of that very reason, but would have been easier if i didnt have to.

mumsnetmummy · 21/06/2006 17:23

mrratty . its for a sportswear photo campaign - you'd think they would have supplied the trainers wouldnt you lol. They took all her body sizes at the audition though so I think it is for clothing

mrratty · 21/06/2006 17:33

mumsnetmummy - that is funny that you have to supply trainers yourself!!!

Scarlettsmummy · 21/06/2006 17:40

IZZYRUBI > Just curious? But why is it that going back to the year dot, whenever anyone says anything about an agency, you always manage to slip in a bad comment about BK?

BK are obviously a good agency and ok you may not have had a job from them, but loads have.

Shall was talking about IK and you jumped at the opportunity to involve BK and say that is what happened when you were with them. SO they disappeared and didnt answer their phones too did they? Clearly not! How can you compare a company that has disappeared after taking all that money from parents to a company that are functioning and getting work for their kids?

Also, I would be interested to know how you get all this work you supposedly get from all these agencies, when you are contracted to one of them?

mm, just curious of course

mumsnetmummy · 21/06/2006 17:42

mrratty > thats what i said, but they said if she hasnt got new ones then its not a problem as the client will get them if she is confirmed
