Hi

OP posts:
izzyrubi · 18/06/2006 23:10

Yackerty >> DD is adapting, bless her, she's so good with him, keeps hugging and immitating him, it's very funny but sometimes she gets quite jealous and tbh I understand her, first she stays in hospital for 10 days suffering and just as she goes back home mummy comes with this new person... must be hard to take it all in!! Grin
How's ds doing? Do you think you're having a boy or girl? (We always know!)

lanismum · 18/06/2006 23:11

izzy, id love to see the taylor pics, please dig them out if you get the chance!! my mates will be sooooooooooooooooooooo jealous too!

lanismum · 18/06/2006 23:16

oh by the way, lani has been quite a demon for the last few weeks, very stroppy, having quite a few tantrums, really hard work! but also quite lovely at times, she just says hello to everyone, and cuddles and kisses dogs, dolls, or cyans ds! i noticed the other day how long and fair her hairs got, i can put it into small bunches now, but to be honest its so fine they just slip out but she looks cute for about 3 mins Grin

izzyrubi · 18/06/2006 23:17

mumsnetmummy >> it might also just be a bad phase though, the problem is if you go back to the agencies you were before and then she doesn't have any work as well... I'm sure B&B accepted your child because they thought they would get her work because they're extremely picky and they do get loads of work, talk to any mum of a child who's with them and they'll be glad to recommend them, they're one of the top agencies after all! I think the problem with agencies is that you must be at the right place at the right time... it's a tough decision and I wish you best of luck, keep us posted on how you get on...

izzyrubi · 18/06/2006 23:19

lanismum >> v Envy of dd's hair iykwim Grin dd's also says hello to everyone, it's really sweet, we go shopping, put her on the trolley and she waves and says "hiya" to everyone who dares come close to her, I love it!

mumsnetmummy · 18/06/2006 23:26

hi izzy - i think 5 months is a hell of a bad phase! I do understand what you are saying but I had regular work with bizzykidz and liked them and norrie carr were good workwise (although I didnt like them lol), so it would be stupid to stay with one that isnt working for us and not try and go back to one that weve had good experience with.

God I am so confused!! I think I will speak to my husband when he gets in tomorrow morning and see what he says.

thanks for the advice

YummyMummy21 · 18/06/2006 23:32

LoL Alysia is exactly the same, she will talk to anyone she reals them in with a sweet hello, then she doesnt stop. LoL.
For some reason she says "Ahh Buba" to every child though, even if they are alot older. Ohh and she has taken to saying "Whats that" at people too, now thats embarrasing.

Alysia's hair is so long now that I can pull it into a pony-tail at the back of her head. Its a complete pain though. I wish is wasnt so long, but I cant bring myself to cut it, plus her dad would probably kill me.

mumsnetmummy> I would give it a while longer to see if they come up with any work/castings. How long do you have left on the contract with them?

xxx

mumsnetmummy · 18/06/2006 23:40

With the greatest respect, thats what I have been doing for the past 2 months and have got fed up waiting, thats why I came on here to ask advice.

Ive lost nearly half a year of her modelling in my eyes and dont really want to miss any more. She used to really love the shoots and seeing herself on the tv and stuff. She keeps on asking me when she is going to do it again and I dont know what to say so I think it might be best to move on and just put it down to experience. Not lost nothing only time really so not all that bothered on that count. I wont have to pay bizzykidz to go back because it was a one off payment until she is 17 but norrie carr charge yearly's so I think its back to square one where we started from. Ark at me talking like they will want her back!! They might say no!

Ive got a contract with bruce and brown but if we havent had anything then we can leave legally because there is no working relationship between parties by all accounts.

thorntons · 18/06/2006 23:41

Evening all! Lanismum.yes definitely same place as dd was photographed from underneath the glass panel!Lovely house!
Mumsnetmummy. Maybe things are quiet for her age group at the mo? My 2 and 1/2 year old DD is with Bruce and Brown .I really like them.I personally would give it a few more months as work really does comes in peaks and troughs. Have had stretches ( a few months )without anything .Then had months where it has been v.busy.Eg last December 3 jobs in one week !(without castings) Also dd has had 2 jobs in the last 2 weeks.Maybe worth emailing some more pics .I am sure things will pick up very soon.
Izzy -Hope you are all well. If you have a spare moany poss you can email me a pic of your gorgeous little man!

mumsnetmummy · 18/06/2006 23:45

thanks for the words of encouragement Smile What I dont understand though is that we never had peaks and troughs lasting 2-3 months when she was with the other two agencies? And this has been twice that amount of time?

YummyMummy21 · 19/06/2006 00:01

Mumsnetmummy> I understand that it is probably a very difficult choice for you to make. Esp with your DD asking question about NO work too. If you really feel that your heart is with BizzyKids then call them and ask. The worst that they can say is 'NO' (but doubt very much that they will say NO if your DD was earning them money, im sure they would love her back) and even more of a bonus if you wont need to pay fees.
Good Luck with whatever you decide to do xx

mumsnetmummy · 19/06/2006 00:35

hya

thats the worse thing. I dont want her to get a complex about not getting work. Poor little mite, it is so difficult at that age.

I'll speak to hubby tomorrow and let you know how I go

thanks

YummyMummy21 · 19/06/2006 10:04

Hi everyone, hope you and LO's are all well.

Mumsnetmummy> Did you get the chance to speak to your husband? Have you decided what to do yet? I hope that you are feeling abit better today about the hole thing.

Take Care xxxx

YummyMummy21 · 19/06/2006 10:06

Obviously I meant whole, not hole Blush

sha11 · 19/06/2006 10:37

izzy - was Ck the italian job? i got that too!

OP posts:
mrratty · 19/06/2006 10:43

My daughter was with Norrie Carr for a year and had 2 castings in that time, the first was after being with them for 7 months. I do think that sometimes one agency is better for your child than another but I think DD didn't get work because her photo looked nothing like her.

strawberrymilkshake · 19/06/2006 10:52

Hi everyone

Dd has quite long curly hair golden blondie brown colour, I have dark straight hair, I will look out for a red haired boy, we are getting there about 10 oclock so hopefully will be able to meet you.

izzyrubi · 19/06/2006 11:02

mrratty >> and she's with B&B now, isn't she?

sha11 >> yes! same job, and they put forward both my lo's, fingers crossed all three of them get it!!

julie4travel · 19/06/2006 11:37

Strawb- Right will look out for you

How old is your DD? Wonder how many are going I forgot to ask Carole

tigeryuan · 19/06/2006 15:34

Hiya ALL.

Just to let you know that ds got the job he went for casting last Friday. The client want my hubby as well. Hahaa. I found it quite funny!
I've said yes but I haven't told my hubby yet!!

I can't see why not as he is going to take him for the job anyway!!

izzyrubi · 19/06/2006 15:52

tigeryuan >> that's great news! Do you know what is it for? You must be really proud!!!

izzyrubi · 19/06/2006 15:55

SHA11 >> Has ds been short listed?

tigeryuan · 19/06/2006 16:12

izzy - no idea!! not even know my hubby will get paid.. but, i'll assume yes, right?

mumsnetmummy · 19/06/2006 16:23

yummymummy > hi there. Spoke to hubby and he said there is nothing to lose by calling bizzykidz up and having a chat so I did. He is so good at being calm and rational, where as I am the panicker on the firm.

Spoke to my old booker and she told me that we can go to an audition tomorrow for a sportswear company but need to sort out with bruce and brown first. Told bruce and brown that we cant be with them anymore because she is going to private school and is sole agency and they were fine......PHEW!!!! I hate confrontations sooooo much! Only trouble is bruce and brown told me they had loads in for that age, so feel in a bit of a quandry. Anyway, decided to stick to my decision because that still doesnt mean she will get anything and at least I have got an audition tomorrow now. Funny how just in a few hours things can look totally different and I feel so much better.

thanks

strawberrymilkshake · 19/06/2006 16:27
