i'm finding now i'm paranoid about nits and threadworms. if dd sits still for a bit, i use it as an opportunity to have a root through her hair and worry every time i see her scratch her bum. i didn't used to.

perhaps i need to get out more Wink

sparklemagic · 30/05/2006 18:10

I worry about people I have never met and prob never will meet, complete strangers pop into my head - today was walking to high street and found myself thinking "I so hope that Emkana's baby is OK when it's born..."

Also worry about calling my son "DS" in RL, nearly did this in a children's clothing shop when having a conversation, almost said "oh yes my DS did that too"....!!!!!!

intergalacticwalrus · 30/05/2006 18:13

That my clothes don't come from Boden.

I worry about other MNers who are going through hell with abusive partners, court cases, serious illnesses, nightmare pregnancies, evictions and all sorts of other horrible things.

I worry about the crap Justine, Carrie et al are going through with she-who-may-not-be-named in the name of free speech.

I worry about the crap in ordinary milk as well ... it was a MNer who put me off the stuff and convinced me that I would only ever in future drink organic milk.

I worry that MN is almost RL to me ...

Lact8 · 30/05/2006 18:23

I want to nominate fiofio 'i worry for middle class' as quote of the week GrinMade me LOL!

FrannyandZooey · 30/05/2006 18:24

That when i settle down with boyf i'll end up nagging/moaning/resenting/doing everything myself/wanting to leave!

Conversely, i appreciate him a lot more since reading what horrible situations other ppl are in!

bourneville · 30/05/2006 18:29

oh and i worry a lot less about how i am parenting dd, i have actually grown a lot in confidence in my ability etc. Reading about all different approaches/ideas etc has really helped to just accept that everyone does things a different way and nobody's way is the "right" or "wrong" way.

Have now read rest of thread (sorry Blush) and can second more stuff - worrying about ppl i've never met & them popping into my head during the day, and called dd "dd" too! I also really miss emoticons when i'm emailing or texting ppl!

dewmeadow · 30/05/2006 18:35

I worry about noy being witty/likeable enough in mn. also with you franny - I want my DH off the computer now - Im actually working out how to fit my life around mn

HarpsichordCarrierOnSea · 30/05/2006 18:40

god I worry about nits too...
AND I worry about leaving the chidlren in the car while I pop in the corner shop/petrol station, which never crossed my mind before. I imagine mnetters noting my reg no and calling social services....

Tortington · 30/05/2006 19:43

parking in a m&T place adn being found out. it scares me it really does.

being caught in asda with a 20p ttowel in one hand ( thereby taking advantage of 3 year olds who sew them with their feet) and a packet of turkey twizzlers in the other.

Ledodgyherring · 30/05/2006 19:44

Moloscums! I'd never even heard of moloscums till MN.
