How many of us actually meet Shona's little sidekicks criteria?
She states that all of us on Mumsnet are in our 30s, living in London and have a degree. How many people here meet that criteria?
How many are popping prozac depressed at the shit life we now have with kids?
Damn that woman is nasty!

Well, I think she has a point.
We all know she has.

I don't fit he category becasue:
I do: drink tea, like hobnobs.
But I am nowhere near 30, have 2 degrees, not feminist, not from norf london, no organic, no prozac, no boden.
But I am not a ymuumy mummy. I look like shona. wierd looking.

And I DO "resent loss identity, lack of short term gratificatin from motherhood brings".
I have all this anger and I have no idea where it comes from, because I was never angry when I first met dh.
Very odd.
Even I, once said a couple of really nasty things about Nigella Lawson, on MN. I wish I hadn't. And I am no fan of Amanda Holden.

But MN does have an angry nasty side. We all do know that this is true.

MN saved me when I failed my ATOS thingy. I quite simply couldn't have sorted things without MN, God alone knows what I would have done.

I love MN for that.

Is it controversial to say I feel sorry for Sibary? The DM sets her up to be a target and undoubtedly insists her kids are photographed with her in those cringey pics. opportunities for freelance journalists are limited and the DM pays very well. I also read a blog once (no link, sorry) about a novelist's experience of being rewritten in DM style. They edited her piece to be more provocative, to generate comments and page views. They are trolls, attention-seeking. Hate their editorial stance, not Shona.

I bloody love tea and HobNobs (dark choc, please) and I do appear to be dressed from neck to ankle in Boden today. I'm 40, have a degree, don't live in London, and am no longer on Prozac - I'm on other medication for life, which is equally as interesting and worthy of comment, ie not in the least.

I'm a little concerned about my mental health though, as if there's nothing uplifting (what, not even the bra intervention threads??) and life-affirming about MN then I must have imagined WoollyHugs. Which is quite a weird thing to imagine (as opposed to, say, Matt Smith in his pants or something).
