They probably want to keep numbers low or something... when are you going to IK? We're due to go there this week for dd's photoshooting and if it's the same day maybe we can have coffee or something! Try and apply at MOT as well, they accept e-mail applications and are big!

izzirubi - My son is 5 and half and only had 1 shoot in a year with Scallywags hense the change of agent. The photoshoot vertually paid for his years photoshoot etc. They were a professional agency though I must admit yet shame just not much work!

hi izzy - that would be nice. i thought your dd already had her photos on the site. i am waiting for them to come back to me with a time now. really wanted to wait until i heard from B&B and UA but got bit fed up sat and e-mailed IK to say i'd like to come and see them. the kids have so many changes of clothes on site do you have to take them all. where is the shoot done? and how long did yours take?

izzy, oh, i think the wispy bits of hair are cute! Be careful if you do cut it tho .. i've always cut dd2's fringe .. first time was a disaster!

mysonsmummy >> yes dd is already on their website but it was really cold when we did the photos so we agreed to do it again around this time... plus with babies they like to update the photos every 3-4 months as they grow so quickly!
The shooting itself was at IK and then at the park around the corner as well and it took around 1 hour and a half, it was great and we got all the photos on cd, tbh I prefer the photos that aren't on the website to the ones they chose but anyway... we had to take 5 different outfits!
I know how frustrating it can be having to wait for a reply from the other agencies but what I think is that even if they do accept your lo it may be worth going to see IK anyway, that's the only way you can actually get to know them and be able to compare, it's just an informal chat anyway! Well I'll let you know when we're going as soon as Dan e-mails me! Good luck with B&B and UA!

THUMBS.....me and the bump are good thank you and are back at work ....but no much longer to go now so not so bad!
Shame about Littlewoods but at least DD didn't miss out on her party - are you going M&S this week????? How did your DD get on at that the other week by the way????

no, not been asked to go M&S again. dd2 job the other week went okay. They were very nice and let dd2 have a look at her pics and play with the laptop!! .. careful not to let her delete everything tho!! They said it's for autumn/winter collection .. hope i find the pic :)

Izzirubi- I applied to quite a lot of agencies actually the ones that have said yes are Rascals (yet I couldn't make the assesment date soo they told me to re apply in Nov, Childs Play (don't like their website) Norrie Carr (who said yes), Sandra reynolds and Power Model Management. Also AJ Management and CS Management want to see him about TV work. Unfortuatley Bubblegum (who my friend is impressed with, MOT, Kids London , Bruce and Brown, Elliott Brown, Inpired all said no. I understand they are some of the best ones yet I know my sons look isn't the typical type that everyone would want. Plus we live in Cambridgeshire so distance could be a thing with some of them that elliminated us. I don't mind though. Its a shame that we haven't had more work as my son does love it and I am sure in the future he may change his mind. Not being funny the one photoshoot he did he was superb I couldn't have asked for a better child. Shame there was no repeat bookings from it as he would have come up trumps. I have booked Norrie carrs assement for may half term.

Has anyone any feedback on CS Management and AJ management and what they think regarding the tv work side of things instead of teh modelling side of things? What would a 5 and half year old be expected to do in an initial assesment ? any ideas?

THUMBS....When the sun was out on friday I was really looking foward to being a SAHM again!! - Its scary that they are doing winter collections already when we haven't even had summer yet!!!

My dd is 9 and has just signed with csmanagement. Carole is lovely and really friendly. When i spoke to her on the phone i asked her what she would require dd to when we went to meet her, she said that as dd was young just to say a poem. Dd also volonteered to sing her a song but she did'nt have to. I know that the older children have to do a monologue. But for a 5 year old i am not sure what they would want them to do if anything. Maybe they would just want to see that they are confident. Give Carole a ring and ask she is really nice.

Strawberry Milkshake- Has your daughter had any work from them as of yet or is it too soon. My son can't sing to save his life so I would hope he doesn't have to do that. Although he loves singing I don't think he will improve as much as he would need to!!!!

izzy, i had thought about that, but i've done her model book shoot which covers all of 2006 .. so thought i'd stick out the yr. I did also think i was wasting dd1's time as a yr is a long time for a child .. they grow up so quickly. I know she won't be any good for tv, etc tho

Strawb - That sounds good. I will give her a call now. Did she receommend that your daughter needed to join a stage school or anything? Or was she ok as she is? Sorry to be asking so many questions. Plus thats great re the singing !

My dd is with Inspired Kids, Alphabet Kidz and Cheeky Kidz, all three agencies are fantastic in different ways but the one that we had the most castings/jobs is CK although we did have some through AK as well. I really like all three agencies and at this point I don't think I would go with any other agencies (well, maybe Kids London if they accepted my dd lol).
Even if you decide to go with CS Management you can still have your ds with a modelling agency so it might be worth go and see what it's all about!!

Thanks Izzirubi- are all three of those agencies not sole rep then? so you are with all three at present. I just tried ringing Carole yet she was on the other phone so I have to ring back shortly. That will be good to see what your friend thinks on Norrie Carr (especially if her son is teh same age)as I do not know anyone with them, although my friend whose three girls are with Bubblegum says every shoot she goes on there is normally a couple from Norrie Carr. I would prefer a cheaper fee agency yet I suppose you can't have it all! thanks

Julie >> If I'm not mistaken AK is sole rep for over 2's and they charge £100 I think for over 2's! CK only charges £30 for phoos and you can update them as many times as you want without any charges! I heard good things from Bubblegum as well, just don't get why they don't have a website :P

Izz.......yes feel exactly the same with this pregnancy as the last - also (luckily!!) have only put on weight on my belly which makes me think that it may be another boy!!!! Have you felt the same????? Had a scan week before last and it was weighing just under 2lb so they have predict this one is going to be another dinky one.

Izzirubi- Bubblebum are currrently building a website (when I spoke to Linda she said this , I was chasing up if she had my photos). To tell you the truth if my friend hadn't raved on so much about them I would have illiminated them because of it. She has had lots of work from them over the years although I know the owner died and someone else (?possibly a family member) took it over.
