HI everyone, you all seem so busy!! Pimms, we live in Ilkley near Leeds, which is a beautiful place to live, and there is a direct train to London. Does make it a trek tho, the train is just over two hours down, so is a half day job. Luckily DS thinks the best part is the train and the underground!! I did look at Northern agencies, and they can get a lot of work, but DS has longish curly hair and we were told Yorkshire clients liked their boys to be boys!!! I will be looking out for your little one on Thurs!! We like going to London as we have friends there so are getting quite sociable!!

Yacks, we went to the Tomy casting, it was quite scary (haven't done one before) DS shown into a room with lots of people with notebooks, a big TV camera and a white cross. He has to stand on the cross and make conversation and play with a train!!! Is that what the castings are like???

Mrratty, we did a Junior at really short notice too!! Keeping my fingers crossed for you!!

Little madam > Glad it went well yesterday, will keep fingers crossed for you. All castings seem to be different but for TV ads they do seem to get them to 'perform' in front of the camera. We did a peperami one recently and the little one had to 'pretend to have eaten too much pepperami'....how do you get a 15month old to do that!?!?!?! Did they tell you it was for 'aquadraw'?
Gosh you are comitted to travel from Leeds for castings.....I moan at a 1/2 hour journey! But at least your little one enjoys it!

littlemadam - WOW! What a hike! A friend of mine owned (still owns?) a nail and beauty place there. She told me that it is a wonderful part of the world! How old is your DS again? I had wondered about your location as I was afraid to go too far away from London as it might lessen DS's chances for jobs.

Julie - I have the same problem with DS and school places. He has a late '99 birthday and his class is oversubscribed. Something to keep in mind whilst homehunting. A local school may be good but it may have a waiting list as long as my arm!!!!

I haven't heard so am taking it as a no. The phone has rung three times more than usual today and everybody is probably wondering why I'm not happy to hear from them!
