mumjane · 12/04/2006 12:53

thanks izzy-really good advice!

That is so funny that you are all doing same job!! Is it all with the same agency??

MUM007 · 12/04/2006 12:54

Hi Izzy- was beginning to think I was in here on my own. Tpical get a quiet hour to chat and everyones out!!
Oh thats good that tigeryuans lo may also get it. Does seem a bit strange that all different ages have been picked.
Obviously if it is for a website they will have a wide range of kids!!
Was relieved it wasnt for this week as I said before I wanted to do things with the other children. Things have been a bit hetic with jobs of late.
It would be nice to meet up. Put faces to names and all that.
What agency are you with Izzy? You lo seems to do very well.

MUM007 · 12/04/2006 12:57

Hi mumjane I am with BK (if i can mention!!!) This job would be through them. Thats if she gets it! They just needed to check that I was available for dates as we go on holiday in May.
Its nice to get more than a days notice for something.
Will let you know if a definite.

mimi1uk · 12/04/2006 13:00

cyan · 12/04/2006 13:12

hi all have to go out will chat later will def be up for meeting!!! speak later loves x

yackertyyack · 12/04/2006 13:15

Congrats to everyone who is up for jobs!!
MIMI.....what did you decide regarding agencies in the end?? Are you staying with BK and going with others or are you still undecided!!
MUMJANE....there is no harm applying to other agencies and if you get taken on then terminate your existing contract?? How old is your little one?? Only ask because between 18-24 months is not a good age with agencies apparently!!!

mimi1uk · 12/04/2006 13:25

no idea what to do,,, its hard to know whats best really,

yackertyyack · 12/04/2006 13:41

Which others did you try/been accepted by???

perfumelady · 12/04/2006 13:54

just thought i'd pop in and say hi, still no news on dd's potential jobs, i'm guessing it was a no for burberry due to shoobaloo going to casting yesturday, unless they are doing older children on a differant day, but i doubt it, how did you get on shoobaloo?

mum007 hi ya how are you? was it your (is it) 8 or 9 year old that maybe doing the website job? sorry i get confussed i think you have 3 like me is that right?, i have ds ,dd who's 11 and dd who's 8.

have anyone from i/k had any jobs or castings yet?

izzyrubi · 12/04/2006 13:57

mumjane >> you know what? you must always remember that it's also the agency's interest to have your child, that's how they make money, one way or the other and there are loads of agencies out there so if you're not happy for whatever reason don't hesitate in trying other agencies!

MUM007 >> I guess you're right, just wonder how many agencies they're using for it, the agency said dd has good chance because it's the same client as the other website for which she was chosen (the one at the end of april) but obivously two different websites they could end up choosing another child that is more suitable so fingers crossed she'll get it!

Tiger >> What agency did your ds get short listed through?

Yackerty >> Also heard that 18-24 months is not a good age, shame, we're almost getting there!!!

MUM007 · 12/04/2006 14:00

Hi perfumelady- It is my 8 year old that may get the job.
Seems exciting that they are using different agencies that we are all with.
Me and Tiger got the call from BK.Dont know who Izzy got hers from.
Anything for you at the moment. Pity about the Burberry job. That would have been great.

mimi1uk · 12/04/2006 14:04

kids london scally wags rascals cheeky kids chilsplay bma allsorts cant remeber all of them think thats bout it,

yackertyyack · 12/04/2006 14:17

Mimi >>> its difficult as nearly all of the ones you mentioned are sole rep! Did you try MOT/Inspired Kidz ? They are not sole rep??? I suppose it depends on whether you think that by being with more agencies will get you more work. Have you heard anymore from the casting your wento to???

mimi1uk · 12/04/2006 14:20

tried mot ceen told too many babies at present that look like him, and to reapply blonde hair blue eyes,,

mumjane · 12/04/2006 14:20

MUM007-well done!
Izzy-ru with bk aswell??

lanismum · 12/04/2006 14:25

izzy isnt with bk Grin

mumjane · 12/04/2006 14:29

Sorry! I just saw that the other 2 mums are doing the same job as Izzy and they are both with BK. Which agency did you get yours through Izzy??

MUM007 · 12/04/2006 14:31

MUMJane- Not holding my breath. Until it is confirmed. DD been doing a bit of late. So if it is a no will just save me a trip to London!!
Just was suprised that was for the same job as Izzy and Tiger. Would be nice to meet up if it turns out we all got it.

perfumelady · 12/04/2006 14:40

MUM007 do you have a long journey to london? it takes us an hour and 12 mins with three stops. we are waiting to hear on three potential jobs, but as i said before i think it's a no for buberry so the other two, same as you won't hold my breath.

mimi1uk · 12/04/2006 14:45

burberry was for babies only yesterday, mso do not give up hope,,

MUM007 · 12/04/2006 14:47

Perfume- We have only about an hours journey to central London so are quite lucky really. We can do jobs at short notice. As long as other children can be looked after at short notice (which is not always so easy)

perfumelady · 12/04/2006 15:04

mimi1uk thanks that good too know, did you go as well?

mum007 i know what you mean, i think sorting out the other kids child care is def' more hassle than getting to the job or casting.

MUM007 · 12/04/2006 15:09

I just feel guilty that I am paying one more attention than the others.Im not at all but when its a modelling thing its hard that you dont want one DD thinking she is not as pretty as the other!! If that makes sense.
I have got 2 sisters and we were all treated the same when we were growing up. Thats how i want to bring my girls up. So there is no jealousy involved.

tigeryuan · 12/04/2006 15:11

hiya, i'm back.
i'm not sure my son has been shortlisted or not, bk just said they've put forward him for that job.
its our first possible with bk. i'm very excited!

MUM007 · 12/04/2006 15:24

Tiger- normally if they say he has been put forward it means that he probably has been shortlisted from lots of others they have already seen.
Any we have been shortlisted for she has either got a casting or got the actual job!
So keep your fingers crossed x
